Present: Supervisor Jean Owens, Town Councilperson Greg Stevenson,Town Councilperson R J Switzer, and Town Councilperson Peggy Hubbell. Town Councilperson Pat Gumaer was absent. Others present were Highway Superintendent David Miller and Town Clerk Alice Laue. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag Supervisor Owens led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. — Approval of the June i I'h, 2003 regular Town Board Meeting minutes. Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson Hubbell that the Town Board approve the adoption of the June I I'', 2003 regular Town Board Meeting minutes. Discussion—none Vote—Supervisor Owens aye. Town Councilperson Stevenson aye, Town Councilperson Hubbell aye, Town Councilperson Switzer abstained. Town Councilperson Gumaer was absent. Town Councilperson Gumaer arrived at 6:43 p.m. Committee/Reports Highway Department—Highway Superintendent Miller Past month busy patching potholes, digging ditch, hauling gravel, mowing, put in several highway pipes, did a little paving on Van Dorn Road. Highway Superintendent Miller asked for a resolution to take the old 1998 pickup truck to auction this fall. Motion made by Town Councilperson Switzer, seconded by Town Councilperson Stevenson that the Town Board authorize Highway Superintendent Miller to take the 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck to auction this Fall in Lansing, New York. Motion carried Unfinished Business Shudaben Road Letter of Agreement has been drafted_ Town of Enfield Code Changes in draft presented. Board to review changes. Next month serious discussion. Signage— Supervisor reported received funds for Welcome to Enfield Center signs. Matt Steel working with a concept of what signs might be. He will bring a cardboard mock up of what signs would look like to the board and suggest what they might be made out of. Simple in design. Town Logo Placement Discussed affixing town logos to town vehicles t a cost of$10.00 per vehicle. Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson Switzer that the Town Board approve up to $100.00 for placing of town logo decals on Town Highway vehicles. Correct the amount for voucher 186 to read $593.08 instead of$167.67. Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson Hubbell that the Town Board authorize the Supervisor to change the terms, conditions or vendor of our local and long distant phone service as necessary to decrease the cost of said phone service. Dog Census Lisa Rumsmoke and Kath Jones, SPCA Animal Control Officers interested in doing Town of Enfield dog enumeration. Dog enumeration to be done on their own time. A proposal was presented. (See attached.) Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson Hubbell that the Town Board enter into an agreement with Lisa Rumsmoke and Kathy Jones to do a dog enumeration in the Town of Enfield, starting as soon as possible and lasting for six month as specified in the written proposal. Appointment of Larry Lanning to the Planning Board. Supervisor presented Larry Lanning's name for appointment to the Planning Board. The term to expire 12/31/2007. Motion made by Town Councilperson Stevenson, seconded by Town Councilperson Gumaer that the Town Board approve the appointment of Larry Lanning to the Planning Board through the calendar year 2007. Discussion— Town Councilperson Hubbell would like to see Larry Lanning come and state his qualifications to be a member of the Planning Board. Vote - Supervisor Owens aye.
