The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Enfield was held Wednesday, Aprillllth, 2001 at the Enfield Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca,NY at 6:39 p.m. with Supervisor Owens presiding. Present: Supervisor Owens, Town Councilmen Stevenson and Schehr. Town Councilman Roach was absent. Others present were Highway Superintendent Ron Updike and Town Clerk Alice Laue. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag Supervisor Owens led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Approval of the Marchl4th,2001 Public Hearing Minutes and the Marchl4th 2001regular Town Board meeting minutes. Motion made by Councilman Stevenson, seconded by Councilman Schehr that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve the adoption of the March 14th Public Hearing and the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting. „-� Discussion Vote- Supervisor Owens yes. Town Councilmen Stevenson and Schehr yes.- Town Councilman Roach was absent. Privilege of the Floor Helen Hetherington presented a street lighting proposal to the Town Board. Darrell Clark encouraged the board to approve the lighting proposal. Court Computer Supervisor Owens asked how board members felt about giving the old court computer to the Community Council for use at daycamp. Verbal consensus of the board members present was that this computer be loaned to the community council. Highway- Superintendent Updike March brought tough end to winter. Cindered five times only, plowed and Cindered ten times. Last two times plowed roads with grader and pickup truck.Had two frozen culverts to treat. During run off minor flooding. Continued chipping brush. Cut brush on Sage and N. VanDorn Road. Motion made by Councilman Schehr, seconded by Councilman Stevenson that the flown Board of the Town of Enfield approve the adoption of the Enfield Strategic Plan and authorize the supervisor to submit same to the county. Discussion- Need of strategic plan to deal with current problems. Vote - Supervisor Owens yes. Town Councilmen Stevenson and Schehr yes. Enfield Volunteer Fire Company- Chief Stevenson New engine in service. Special operations trailer having breathing apparatus installed. Old heavy rescue truck out of service and for sale. Coming this late Spring of Summer Open House featuring Thermo Image camera and the apparatus. Amendment Budget 2001 Supervisor asked for an amendment to the Budget 2001. Unexpended General Fund balance to read $30.100.00. Motion made by Councilman Stevenson, seconded by Councilman Schehr that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve the amendment of the Unexpended General Fund Balance to read#30,100.00. Discussion Vote- Supervisor Owens yes. Town Councilmen Stevenson and Schehr yes. Town Councilman Roach was absent. Budget Transfer Supervisor asked for the following budget transfers. From 1990.4 Contingency$1,399.99 to A1220.2 Supervisor Equipment. Supervisor would like to purchase an inexpensive laptop computer. From 7320.4 Youth Services $124.00 to 7310.4 Youth Services. 7310.4 overdrawn by $124.00. Motion made by Councilman Schehr, seconded by Councilman Stevenson that The Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve the following budget transfers.
