TOWN OF ENFIELD
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD/JOINT TOWN PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
WEDNESDAY,JULY 16TH, 1997
A Special Town Board/Joint Town Planning Board Meeting was held Wednesday, July
16th, 1997 at 7:15 p.m. at the Town of Enfield Town Hall. Supervisor Mather and Town
Planning Board Chairperson,Michelle Humphries presided.
Present: Supervisor, William Mather;Town Councilmen,Lanny Clark, Gary Fisher;
Town Clerk, Alice Laue. Absent, Town Councilmen,Donald Lovelace and Pat
Dougherty.
Town Planning Board members present-Chairperson,Michelle Humphries; Mike
Williams, Gene Enders, Virginia Bryant, Rick Chase,Ann Chaffee, Calvin Rothermick.
Indexing of Minutes Agreement- ,
Motion made by Supervisor Mather and seconded by Councilman Fisher that the Town
Board of the Town of Enfield authorize the Town of Enfield Supervisor, William Mather,
to sign an agreement with Diane Nelson for the purpose of indexing the Town of Enfield
minutes.
Vote: Supervisor, Mather - aye
Town Councilmen Clark and Fisher- aye
Town Councilmen Lovelace and Dougherty absent.
Relinquishing of Minutes Authorization
Motion made by Supervisor Mather and seconded by Councilman Clark that the Town
Board of the Town of Enfield give authorization to the Town Clerk,Alice Laue, to
relinquish custody of the original copies of the town minutes,one book at a time,to
Diane Nelson for the purpose of indexing the minutes.
Vote- Supervisor, Mather-aye
Town Councilmen Clark and Fisher,aye
Town Councilmen Lovelace and Dougherty,absent.
Supervisor turned the meeting over to the Planning Board Chairperson, Michelle
Humphries.
Planning Board's concerns- need of more direction and communication from Town
Board was discussed. Consensus was when a direction from the Town Board to the
Planning Board was completed, the Town Board would give another direction to the
Planning Board. Possible next direction would be an official map of the Town of Enfield.
Town Councilman Gary Fisher to be appointed as Town Board liaison to the Planning
Board.

Adjournment
Motion made by Councilman Fisher and seconded by Councilman Clark that the Special
Town Board/Joint Planning Board meeting adjourn.
Meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
