TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST TTH, 1996
6:30 P.M.
The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Enfield was held
Wednesday, August 7th, 1996 at the Enfield Community Building, 1.82 Enfield Main
Road, Ithaca, NY at 6:30 p.m. with Supervisor Mather presiding.

Donald Lovelace. 'Gown Councilman, Garry Achilles absent. Others present: R.on
Updike, Highway Superintendent; Alice Laue,Town Clerk.

Supervisor Mather led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Motion made by.Councilman Lovelace and seconded by Councilman Clark that the 'fown

County Board of Representatives quiet. Budgets turned in by department and
administration heads. Budget Workshop session planned by county to be held
Wednesday, September 1 lth, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. at Boynton Middle School. Open to the
public. Bridge repair discussed.

Commemorative Committee - Gary Fisher
No official meeting. Attempted a community picnic, seventeen people in attendance.
Still working on ads for cookbook and review of history book.
Eighty people in attendance at One-Two Room Schoolhouse Reunion.
Infrastructure Committee - No meeting
Monthly Bills -
Motion made by Councilman Lovelace and seconded by Councilman Clark that the
Towii Board of the Town of Enfield approve for payment General Fund warrants 185-203
in the amount of$18,930.96, Highway Fund warrants 113-135 in the amount of
$40,536.60, Small Cities Grant I (HUD) warrant #25 in the amount of$251.23, Small
Cities Grant 11 (HUD) warrants$28 and 29 in the amount of$12,326.05.

Old Business -
Compliment from Pete Moore to Highway Department on Fish Road.
Letter to Carl Newhart in response to renaming Griffin Road. Request denied.
New Business -
Budget Workshop Session scheduled for Thursday, August 29th, 1996 at the Enfield
Con-imunity Building at 6:30 p.m.. Open to the public. Budget packets to go too Town
Board members before Budget Workshop Session.
Vacancy on Environmental Management Council.
SARA grant completed.
I.It II) - Small Cities Grant. 111 1996 should hear about before Labor Day.

August 7th, 1996 regular meeting of the Town of Enfield Town Board adjourn. Meeting
adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
