The regular meeting of the Town of Board of the Town of Enfield was held Wednesday, June 7th, 1995 at the Enfield Community Building, 182 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, N.Y., 14850. Supervisor Owens presiding. PRESENT: Supervisor Owens, Councilmen Dougherty, VanNederynen, Achilles and Clark. OTHERS PRESENT: Town Clerk, Alice Laue. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Supervisor Owens led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. APPROVAL OF MAY 3RD1995 MINUTES: Motion made by Councilman Dougherty and seconded by Councilman Achilles that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve for adoption the May 3rd, 1995 minutes of the regular Town Board Meeting with the correction that follows. Correction: New Business - Appointment- Michelle Humphries term of office expires December, 31, 1999. Carried Unanimously ADOPTION/DELETION TO AGENDA: Community Building Use - Councilman VanNederynen to set up a June meeting to discuss building use. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR: No one wished to speak. COMMUNICATIONS: Betty Poole, Deputy Town Clerk,,Town of Ithaca, report on Solid Waster fee inclusion on tax bill. Fuel tanks - Highway Superintendent Updike requested a recommendation on disposal of old fuel tanks. Motion made by Councilman Achilles and seconded by Councilman Clark that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield authorize Highway Superintendent Ron Updike to sell the old fuel tanks for Scrap metal prices. Carried Unanimously Town Board Meeting.Minutes - June 7th, 1995 2 COMMITTEES: Tompkins County Board Representative- Peter Meskill spoke about budget reforms. Enfield Community Council - No report Enfield Fire Company : Councilman Clark Attended May 9, 1995 Board of Directors meeting. Addition to firehouse, meeting OSHA requirements, discussed. Shell of building to be contracted out, paid for with money received from sale of old fire truck. Rest of addition to be finished by firemen. New truck to be purchased February, 1996. Community Building and Fire Company right-of-way between Community Building and Grange discussed. Concerns expressed about driving over septic tank, if new tank installed at Community Building. Parking problem needs to be addressed. Need to complete town disaster plan. MONTHLY BILLS: Motion made by Councilman Achilles and seconded by Councilman VanNederynen that the Town Board of the Town of Enfield approve for payment General Fund Warrants, Highway Fund warrants and HUD warrants. Addition of $1,000.00 - Enfield Senior Citizens - A7620.4 -adult recreation to be added to General Fund warrant. Carried Unanimously UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Bingo - Enfield Community Council possible not for profit organization to be sponsor. Need more information. Town Board needs to be fully aware of procedures and ramifications. Bailvy Gravel Pit- No additional information or activity. Assessment Meeting - Three people there. Highest assessment is placed on principle acre. Enfield community Building - Health Department informed Councilman Clark that the community building cannot be used for anything more than it is used for now. Condition and adequacy of septic system discussed. Approved signed Health Department certificate to be posted when day camp starts. NEW BUSINESS: Junk Cars/Code Enforcement Officer report to be added to agenda. Need to develop a ticket issuing process. 1 � 1 Town Board Meeting Minutes - 3 Supervisor Owens to ask Code Enforcement Officers for a more detailed report. ADJOURNMENT: Motion made by Councilman Achilles and seconded by Councilman Clark that the June 7th, 1995 regular Town Board meeting adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8.00 P. M.
