March 23, 1992.
The Special Meeting of the Enfield Town Board on the Enfield Fire
Department Audit met at 7:30 pm in the Enfield Fire Hall with the
following present:

Jerry Mickelson and Blixy Taetzsch, certified public accountants,
presented an overview of their audit of the Enfield Fire
Department. A schedule of actual receipts and disbursements was
submitted for January 4, 1991 - September 31, 1991. A projected
schedule was completed for January 4, 1991 - December 31, 1991.
The auditors reported that all records were available and in good
order. Cash. versus bank statements were proofed and were okay.
The auditors' fee for work already completed is $400. There is
approximately $400 more depending on what the Town Board would like
completed.
The auditors gave suggestions to the Fire Department for organizing
their records so that the Town Board and others could read and
understand. They also suggested that the Fire Department set up a
schedule of capital equipment purchases showing payments,
depreciation, and description of vehicles.
Councilman Lovelace made a motion to have the auditors finish up
the 1991 year and review a financial accounting format. Councilman
Linton seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The Fire Department quarterly financial report that is due at the
end of the first quarter will be due at the May Town Board meeting.
Councilman VanNederynen made a motion to authorize the supervisor
to use the services of the auditor for the fixed assets accounting.
Councilman Dougherty seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Councilman Lovelace made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Councilman Dougherty seconded the motion. Motion carried.
