The Public Hearing on "Town of Enfield Law Goverrinb Importation of Solid [Taste
and Locating of Solid Waste Management Facilities" was called to order at 8:05
pm in the Enfield Town Fire Hall with the following Town Board members present:

Councilman Scofield Shirley Egan, Town Attorney
Councilman Linton Jean Scofield, Town Clerk
Councilman Laue
Councilman Lanning
Supervisor Etta Gray
The Draft of the proposed law was presented.
It was decided the following changes should be made in the proposed law:
It should be stated the farms in the same town (Enfield). with a common
owner waste may be generated.
® The sludge issue should be defined as "limit the importation from
outside of the town. (Page 2, p.p. d)
The Town of Enfield landfill for highway debris should be exempt
by the law.
The law will be voted on at the next Town Board meeting on. November 4, 1987
and filed with the State as soon as possible.
