A special meeting of the Enfield Town Board regarding a Zoning Ordinance for
Private Landfills was called to order at 7:50 pm. The following memebers were
present:

Attorney Shirley Egan told the Town Board and town residents of procedures
necessary for establishing a town law prohibiting private landfills in the
Town.
1. Formal presentation to Town Board
2. Public hearing within 10 - 20 days
3. Vote into law after hearing
4. File law with state
A committee was formed by Town Board members to assist in writing the proposed
town law. Suggestions should be in to Shirley Egan by September 29, 1987.
A formal proposal will bp presented at the October 7, 1987 Toim Board Meeting.
Representative Dan Winch recommended the town to start town law procedures immediately.
Dennis Hubble of the Enfield Fire Department has asked for the Town Board
approval for the use of the town loader for work they are doing on the fire
hydrant. Councilman Lanning made a motion to approve the Fire Department
use of the loader. Councilman Scofield seconded the motion. Motion was carried.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.
