A Special Meeting of the Enfield Town Board was held on the
above date with all members present except Robert Scofield, to
review the 1987 Tentative Budget.
-Supervisor Cray submitted tentative budget for 1987 to the board,
with letter of review for some major changes.
-Fire company will be submitting $68,200 - (actural expenses)
which does not include the approx. $11,000 for OSHA approved
equipment to outfit the men.
-Justices - $1,200 submitted for court stenographer for both justices.
$800 for a court clerk for Justice Smithers.
-Supervisor Salary reduced.
-Councilman Linton - salary cannot be raised in non-election year,
questioned if it could be changed.
-Salaries for highway department discussed.
Changed - $7.50 to $7.75, $8.00 to $8.25, part time $5.50 to $5.70.
-Discussion on reimbursement for snow removal from county.
Councilman Lanning stated Carleton did not collect for last year, also
that it is too late now to get revenue. Councilman Lanning spoke
with Jeff Paddock at the county and he stated that Carleton did ,not
submit a voucher for payment.
-Carleton to get in touch with the county about getting reimbursement.
-General discussion held on all accounts - preliminary budget to be
submitted at next meeting.
