October 9, 1985
A Special Meeting of the Enfield Town Board was held on the
above date for review of tentative budget for 1986 and adoption
of preliminary budget for 1986 with all members present.
Review discussion changed salaries for the Justices, Supervisor,
and Town Clerk. Equipment request from Town Clerk for $1,500 for
photocopier.
Special Items - Unallocated Insurance raised
Public Safety Administration - $4,100 request from Code Inspector
Ed Hughes - Mr. Hughes proposed a modified fee schedule - explained
job duties to the board -
Mr. David Bock feels compared with other jobs increase too high -
should be wash item - combination of state ,reimbursement and permit
fees - should handle expenses.
Preliminary budget set salary at $3,500.
Cemetaries - Roger Laue suggested possibly in lieu of personal
services to give mower to person for incentive, to take better care
of cemetaries.
Fire Protection - increased to $68,725 due to the increase in
insurance protection - Total insurance $17,250 - only budgeted
$9,400.
Mr. David Boek made the motion to adopt preliminary budget for
1986 and to set the November 6th meeting of the town board for
the public hearing at 8:00 PM. Mr. Larry Stilwell seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
Mr. David Bock made-a motion to hold the public hearing on Federal
Revenue Sharing at 7:55PM on November 6, 1985. Mr. Larry Stilwell
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Roger Hubbell - Sales tax distribution unknown - $24,799.80 for
last year - reduced amount to be raised by taxes.
Caroline, Enfield, Groton and Newfield only ones that got back
last year.
October 23rd - Town Board to .meet with Fire Company at the town
hall at 7:30 PM.
Mr. David Bock moved to adjourn - Mr. Roger Laue seconded the motion.
