The petLtion of Socon�y-Vacuum Oil ComparW, Incorporated her
after called the Applicants dated May let, 1941 having been duly presented
at a duly called meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Enfield and approved
'ay a majority vote, per .Iss l on is hereby ,ranted to said Socony-Vacuum Oil
Comparyq Incorporatedp to construct and maintain and operate from time to time,

repair a. pipe line for the trwzasportathn of petroleum, gasoline and petroleum
products across., under and through the following public highways in said Town
of En"Ulds County of Tompkins,# Now Yorks
Town Line Road between the Towns of Enfield and tflysses, Highway No. 177 at
a a point approximately one-half mile wrest .from the intersection of said road wft4
the Jacksonville Road,# Highway No. 139.
Jacksonville Road# designated as Highway No. 143 at a point approximately mid-
gay between Its intersection with the Town Une Road and Highway No,; 1394.,
Highway No. 139 at a point just westerly of Cochran Road,# Highnaf No. 4(,
Kelsey Road at or near its intersection with N. Y. State Highway No. 79 at or
near Van Dornss Corners,
Enfield Centur Roads Highway No. 28, at a point where it passes between the
premises owned by Lewis Culver and Dan Baker.
Kennedy's Corners Road., highway No. 172 at two points in the easterly line of
Lot Nob 65 at a point approx_:Lmately one-,# .1f mile northerly from the interseet.iran
of said road with the Bostwick. Road.
Bostwick Roads designated as Highvrsy No. 137, at a point a short distance '
easterly from its :Intersection with the Colegrove Road. '
Colegrove Road,# Highway No. 8 at a point just southerly of :Its intersection
veith Roa#wick Road and where it passes between the premises of John Krnotch and �
Edgar Eddy.
Lute Teeter Road, Highway No. 7 at a point where it passes between the premtIs#s

Pishkill Roads Highway No. 161 at a point where it passes between the �remiset

By undertaking any viork hereunder the applicant covenants to

The work skull be performed under the supervision and to the satisfaction
of the To ;n Superintendent of Highways of the County Superintendent of Highways
which ever shall have jurisdi.ct.iori of the highway in question,
which
,All hard surfaced roods shall be bored whenever reason-ably possible*
Where a trench is cut the surface shall be restored to a condition similar or
equal to that existing before the Commencement of the work and shall be, done
so as to .interfere as little as ,pdssible with traffic

it authorized by this permit shall be commenced and shall be given prompt notice
of completion of said work with respect to the highways under their respective

i All necesi:ary expense incident to the supervision and inspection of the
4 work done under this permit shall be paid by the Applicant within thirty days
after receipt by it of a statement signed by the Torn Superintendent of �
Highways or the County Superinterdent of Highways as the case may be eerti-
tying the amount of the expense involved..
! The applicant shall maintain for a period of one year from the date of the
completion of the work the surface of the highway at the location wire the
+ pipeline crosvera provided such maintenance U re4uired by reason of the con-
struction of the pipeline across under or through said hi:3hwaye
The Applicant shall save harmless the State, County and Town from all
damages of any kind which may arise during the progress of the work author
i2ed by this permit or which may arise out of the construction of 'eald pipe
line after it is completed
