OTHERS PRESENT: Joe Dawson, Alternate Member, Alan Teeter Code Enforcer
Dan Walker called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
Henry Hansteen made a motion and seconded by Rich Teeter to approve the minutes for the May 1,
2019 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Dan Walker opened the Public Hearing at 7:05 pm for the Site Plan Review Application Teeter Family
Development – 2413 Rt. 79 Mecklenburg Road – 7.-2-7 The application is for 4 homes - two
bedroom - site single family rental. Rich Teeter and Joe Dawson abstained from voting because they
are owners of the project.
Dan Walker asked for public comment on the above applications:
Joe and Rhonda Stasierowski, Enfield, NY. Joe Stasierowski stated that he will not be able to hunt
on a third of his property because of the closeness of the proposed houses. They want to protect
their property and feel the new houses would encroach on their property. They are “homesteading” on
their land and do not want people walking on their property. They are also concerned about the well
and septic systems, and the “teardrop” driveway. They questioned if there will be a problem with
water for the neighbors. They wondered if the fire company would be able to access the driveway.
Rich Teeter stated that the Tompkins County Health Department will help with a workable plan for the
water and septic systems. Joe Stasierowski feels the plan needs to show and provide more details.
They wondered what would happen to property value. If the plan is approved there are drainage
problems that need to be worked out between neighbors. Rich Teeter said they don’t want to clear cut
trees as they want privacy for each house.
The Planning Board asked Rich Teeter for a formal drawn to scale plan for the project. The plans
should include a topographical map and measurements for the project. The lot should be surveyed
with slopes and drainage indicated on the map. He was asked if there had been a flow test done on
the existing well. Rich Teeter answered no.
Dan Walker Invited Joe and Rhonda Strawkowski Town Board meetings to review the
Comprehensive plan about concerns.
Dan Walker closed the Public Hearing was closed at 8:30 pm.
Dan Walker made a motion to postpone the July 3 Planning Board meeting and moved it to July 17.
Henry seconded. Passed.
Dan Walker just a note - Podunk solar farm is close to being finished. Drainage needs to be checked.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
