Y The board of inspectors of election shall also, if ordered so to do, meet on the second Saturday before the general election for the purpose of correcting the registers by adding to or striking off the name of any person pursuant to an order of the court, justice or a judge thereof as provided in section three hundred thirty-one of the Election Law. Hours of registration, see section 153 Election Law. Column 1 is for the registration number which should be filled in after the last day of registration, commencing with the first name on Page A, and ending with the last name on Page Z, the numbers being in numerical order. Column 2 is for the enrollment number and should be filled in when the elector enrolls; if the elector enrolls at registration time each inspector places the ` I number in his register; if -he enrolls at election time each Poll Clerk places the number in his book and the inspector designated to write the names and addresses � blanks laces the number in the two other registers to his charge. i . Into the enrollmentp Columns 3 and 4 are for the names of electors registered and the names should be written in full and done in a plain legible hand, and the name of an elector ` I' should be on the same relative line in each book. Columns 5 and 6 are for the post office address of the elector; a voter living in a village where the streets are numbered should have his street number and name of street entered against his name; if the person presenting the name does not have that information the inspector should require him to furnish it before ould have the number of his R. F. D. route entered against his name; if it should be a Star Route registering the elector. A person who lives in a country section sh, indicate in the R. F. D. No. column by placing the letters "S. R." in that column and indicate by number if any; the address should be plainly written. Column No. 7 is to be filled in by the Commissioners of Elections after election is over; LEAVE IT BLANK. The enrollment box is in the custody of the Chairman. DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING BUT THE BLANKS MARKED BY THE ELECTOR IN THE ENROLLMENT BOX. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO UNLOCK THAT BOX AFTER IT HAS BEEN LOCKED ON THE FIRST DAY OF REGISTRATION. Box containing enrollment blanks should be returned to Board of Elections within twenty-four hours after close of polls on election day. ENTRIES UNDER HEAD OF REMARKS. The words "to be challenged on election day" shall be placed opposite the names of persons registered if any voter shall make oath that he has reason to ! k believe that any person on the register of voters will not be a qualified voter at the next election. When the name of a person who has signed a challenge affidavit shall be registered, the inspectors shall enter in the column headed "Remarks" on the register opposite such name the word "affidavit," giving the consecutive number printed on such affidavit. DUTIES AT CLOSE OF MEETINGS. j At the close of each meeting the inspectors shall fill out and sign the certificate contained in the last pages of this register, and shall also detach and challenge t affidavits signed by the persons challenged during the day and deliver them to the sheriff. At the close of the last day of registration the inspectors shall file the book of unused challenge affidavits with the officer from whom it was received by I the inspectors. REGISTER AT ELECTIONS. The inspectors of election, at the opening of the polls of every election, shall have in their possession the register of voters of their district for such election. , No person shall vote at any election unless his name is on the register of voters of the district at which be is entitled to cast his ballot.
