PRESENT: Ann Chaffee, Joe Dawson, Steve Givin, Henry Hansteen, Dan Walker
ABSENT: Rich Teeter,
OTHERS PRESENT: Alan Teeter, Code Officer
Dan Walker called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Ann Chaffee made a motion and seconded by Steve Givin to approve the minutes for the
January 2, 2019. It was noted due to health reasons, Steve Givin was excused from the
January 2 meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Alan Teeter reported there was no matters for the Planning Board. He shared that the
Solar Farm on Aiken/Podunk Road is now being put in place and half done. He stated that
Renvous Solar wants to start a solar project in the 600 block of Iradell/Podunk Road but
because of the Town of Enfield’s Moratorium it is on hold.
Dan Walker shared that the Town Board would like the Planning Board to review the
Comprehensive Plan. Comments: Henry Hansteen stated that it looked good. Joe
Dawson stated it looked good. Dan Walker said they had to change the number of stores
mentioned in the Comprehensive Plan. There were statements regarding: no gas or oil
wells; infrastructure - road is fair, county roads are in worst shape; bridge/culvert on
Rothermich Road needs to be repaired; Cornell local road program is used and organized
plan for road maintenance; Housing section – confusing what town can do about housing?
Proactive – land use regulations – remember your neighbors in your planning.
Dan Walker asked members to r eview the Comprehensive Plan and come back with any
suggestions, etc.
Dan Walker reported that the recommended Solar Energy Law will be added into the Site
Plan Review Law. He will add the solar section for the Planning Board to review and for
approval by the Town Board.
The next meeting is March 6.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Dan Walker and seconded by Henry
Hansteen. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
