HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-01-197153 Wed, Sept. 1, 1971 7s30 P.M. Regular meeting of the 'Town Board of the Town of Cortla.ndville held at the Town Hall,15 Terrace Road, Supervisor Frank K. Taylor presided with following board members present,Justice Don Eaton, Councilmen Ray E. Miller and Sherman Griswold. Justice Ron Fish was absent. Also present were: Rudy Krauklis, book-keeper for the Supervisor Henry Wadsworth, Town Assessor, John J. Gardner, Town Attorney Fred Walker,Water Maintenance. Town Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting and there were no corrections. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that Victor Metcalf, a member of the Planning Board be authorized to attend the Planning &nd_Zoning Institute to be held on October 10 thru 13, 1971 at Kutshers Country Club in Mont- icello, N.Y., necessary expense to be paid by the Town, This motion was carried. Motion was made by Justice Eaton and seconded by Councilman Griswold and Resolution unanimously adapted as follows: _�16;- RESOLVED THAT, the Town Supervisor be empowered to petition the rater Resource Commission of the State of New York for approval of the sale of water from Cortlandville. Water District # 1 to the followings 1. That part of State University of New York referred to as the"Service Group Buildings" located east of NYS Rte 281 (West Road) in the Town of Cortlandville at the Cortland New York, State University Campus. Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Miller that the Preliminary Budget of Water Dist. # 1 be adopted. This motion was carried. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that the Preliminary BlIdget for District # 2 be adopted,this motion was carried Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Miller that the preliminary Budget for District # 3 be adopted. This motion was carried. Motion was made by Mr.Faton seconded by Mr. Griswold that the Preliminary Bkdget for Sewer Dist. # 1 be adopted. This motion was carried. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Eaton that p,(J a public hearing on the above Water and Sewer Budgets be held SePt-15, 1971 at 7:30 P.M. The Town Clerk presented the report of the examination of the Fiscal Affairs of the Town of Cortlandville from the Board of Audit and Control, Albany, N.Y. All members of the Board review-ed this report. Warren Eddy from the Cortland Library together with Attorney Lee Taylor and members of the Library Committee, as follows, Mr. Harry Taw', Mr. Earl Hedges, Paul GAbel and .0 Verne Niederhofer were present to ask the Town Board to appro- riate $ _J,, .3-ZD. e, c, in the 1972 Budget. Mr. Taylor explained the financial condition of the Library at this time and Mr G6 lbel presented a copy of the proposed Budget and other statistics for the Library. Town Board will consider their request. s 1 1 n U Gerald Cornell, caretaker at the Cortlandville Land Fill, South Hill, McGraw, appeared before the Board and discussed the operations , with the members of the Board about the hours at the site, and reported as to the amount of rubbish and garbage being deposited. there® Mr. Baton Will set up new hours .rarea to this ,e available t-o the public.
