HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-21-1971Wed. July 21,1971 7:30 P.M. :.-77 Sic. econd Regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cort- landville held at the Town Hall, Supervisor Frank K. Taylor presiding. Board members present were, Justice Ron Fish, Council- men Sherman Griswold and Ray E.Miller. Others present were Town Assessor, Henry Wadsworth,Town Highway Supt. Lou Wagner, Town Attorney, John J. Gardner!, Fred Walker Water Maintenance Department, also, Mr. Poston, Mr. Johns, Mr Woodward, Mr. & Mrs Robert Streeter and Air. Dick Harris.and Mildred M. Brookins, Dep. Clerk The Town Clerk read minutes of the last meeting of July 7, also Special Meeting and Public Hearing of July 14, 1971, there were no corrections and were approved as read. The Town Clerk read a letter he had received from Mr. Huhn re- garding new voting machines etc.Letter will be filed. Lou Wagner, Hgwy Supt, asked the Board to consider an increase in salary for Mose Abdallah and Cyril Cronauer from $2.25 per hr. to $2.45 per hr. Motion was then made by Ray Miller seconded by Sherm. Griswold that this request be granted effective as of August lst, 1971. This motion was carried. Mr. Wagner also stated his department was in need of another radio unit and brought to the Boards attention that these units were going to cost more after August 1, 1971. Relative to these G.E.Units, Mr Taylor contacted Mr. D.F.O'Connor of Liverpool and was quoted a price of $620.00, delivered Complete, with adapter and installation etc. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Fish to have a!,letter directed to Mr. O'Connor ordering said unit at the above price. This motion was carried, all voting aye. M U� Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Fish that Water I District # 1, sell water to dater Dist. # 3 at the rate of $.40 per thousand gallons. This motion was carried. Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that the Town Board. and Town Engineer be authorized to go to Scio, N.Y. to insAect incinerator installation, necessary expense to be paid by the Town. This motion was carried. 0 The residents of Fairview Drive who were present, Mr. Poston, Mr. Johns, Mr. Woodward.,Mr. & Mrs. Streeter and Mr. Harris were present to discuss the possibility of getting water to their properties on Fairview Dr. which would be and enlargT ent`+bf Dist. 9. After much discussion with the Board. and Town Engineer,Rowell, the: Town Board advised the residents to present a petition to the Town Board expressing their wish to be a. part of Water Dist. 3.
