Zoning Board of Appeals
The Zoning Board of Appeals met on February 7th, 1984 with Chairman
• Bob Keech calling the meeting to order. Oather members present were Don
Rose, Charlie Hatfield, and Zoning Officer, Sibley Stewart.
Hearing 1 7:30 PM
Lawrence Conlon, Box 723, Ithaca, New York, representing Fall Creek
Parke was present requesting a variance to Section 754 of the Town Zoning
Ordinance which requires that a building be at least 70 ft. from the road
center line. He is converting a one family dwelling to a two family dwel-
ing. The variance would be for less than 10 ft, and would involve the
porch on the house. Mr. Conlon explained the other partners of Fall Creek
Parke are Adam and Nancy Bennet and his wife, Constance. Conlons own the
trailer park next to 729 Lower Creek Rd., Etna where the variance is being
sought.
No one was present to speak for or against the granting of this.var-
iance. Vote- all yes. Variance granted. The hearing adjourned at 7:40.

ness, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bonn, had no complaints about the business.
Mr. Harkness said in his application that no vehicle that he is work-
ing on or will be working on will be left outside, nor will any structures
be added, not will the amount of activity be increased from what it has been.
Vote- all yes. Variance granted. The hearing adjourned at 7:50 PM.
Hearing 111 7:50 PM
William Saam, Jr. was present to apply for a permit to have a used
car sales at his home address of 180 Wood Road and is requesting a vari-
ance to Section 751 of the Town Zoning Ordinance,
Mr. Saam explained that the volume of business would not be big and
would occur mainly in the summer months. A parking area will be provided.
Bob Keech said the ordinance states the size of sign needed for used car
sales and reminded him to abide by it.
John Sears of 13 Sheldon Road, Freeville joins Mr. Saamis property on
the backside and was present to speak in favor of granting this variance,
The ZBOA members could not find any reasons for not granting this
variance. Vote- all yes. Variance Granted.
The meeting adjourned at 8:05 PM.
