HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-10-16Planning Board isTown of Dryden October 16, 1980 Present: Chw. B. Caldwell, T. Bonn, M. Lavine, J. Hunt, Zo. S. Stewart The Planning Board meeting came to order with the approval of last months minutes. Mr. Cor Drost was present for final approval of his sub - division in Ellis Hollow. No big changes in plans except for following: 1) last time, a discussion revolved around road frontage on Woodland Road extension, Mr. Thomas's land. His driveway was. partially on Mr.'Drost land and partially on new piece of Woodland Road. Mr. Drost has had surveyed and moved stakes'up 15' more. So his drive - way now ends on public road. 2) small wood lot, parcel #7A, has been sold to Mr. Smith, a neighbor. Mr. Drost requested approval of lots 1,2,3,4,5, and 6. Lot #2 has access to Hunt Hill Road. Parcel #1 access to Woodland Road. Mr. Drost stated that access to Parcel #7 would be.tied together with parcel #1. Parcel #6, 10 acres, would be sold as one parcel. A motion was made by Mr. Lavine to approve plans and authorize Chw. Caldwell to sign, subject to the town's acceptance of the addition to Woodland Road. Plus recommendation of Appendic B, Soil Conservation Service, as well as all other parts of package, be strictly adhered to. Referring to drainage recommendation for houses being built on parcel with shallow bedrock. Chairwoman Caldwell suggested to amend motion so it is mandatory that a copy be furnished to every builder or developer along with a copy of the motion. Motion with amendment second by Mr. Bonn. All members voted in. favor. Chairwoman Caldwell stated that as soon as the town accepts that part of road, she can sign all maps. Old Business: Discussion of Peaceful Drive will be held on November 20, 1980 when Mr. Sutton and all concerned residence will be present. At that time Mr. Sutton will update his project. Noted that letters from the Coopers and Schutz were received, Other Discussion: At ,Town Board meeting, was discussed. Mr. Liguori presented the plan. October. :1.44;,19801 Route 13 bypass around village and Mr. Finger from County Planning Department Basically it would be north of creek, crossing route 38 east of the high .school, on elevated crossing, going up toward TC3, elevated there. They would have off -ramps near the school. The Town Board objected to that. So they would do redesigning and have a full diamond access near TC3. Probably would have to go to west because of the grade. i Planning Board Town of Dryden -2- October 16, 1980 Also Department.of Transportation will look..at intersection of Route 38 and 13 around 7:30 AM when traffic is bad, to see what can be done. The.County has pinpoint five sites in county for multiple residence build- ing, such.as apartments, town houses, condominium. There are two in Village of Dryden. One north west part of village and Main Street, part of Empire Livestock. For this type of residence water and sewer is needed. When census figures are back, Planning Board wi11 probably go over data. and update master plane. Zoning Officer Stewart wanted to know if a home occupation could have their sign on a mailbox. Board didn't see why not but thought decision probably up to the post office. Also mentioned at the meeting was Ithaca's bike way. Chairwoman Caldwell stated that what they plan to do for $275,000.00 , she felt wasn't worth it. The three miles of road suggested weren't the ones in real need. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
