Planning Board
Town of Dryden
April 17, 1980
Present: Chw. B. Caldwell, T. Bonn, B. Lavine, J. Motsay, TB H. Tarr
Douglas Sutton sent a map to Chairwoman Caldwell, concerning some
changes on his sub - division in Ellis Hollow. Due to some questions the
board members had concerning the map, it was set aside for a future meet-
ing when Mr. Sutton can be present.
Phil Arneson'came before the board so he could correct an error on
filing a map for his sub - division on Beachnut Terrace. Evidently map #1,
which had road being put in opposite to where clearing was made, was filed
instead of map #2 which had road corrections. Also deed restrictions were
never filed and will have to be amended due to it prohibiting sub - division
of a lot:; which he did on a seven acre lot. Deed would read no sub - division
after map filed.
Attorney Perkins said if Planning Board could see map as built and
approved before, and we can make note of it and he will see Mr. Arneson's
lawyer for deed correction.
A motion was made by Mr. Lavine that Planning Board studied the map.
Second by Mr. Bonn. All members voted yes.
A couple people, John Hunt and Warren Underwood of Snyder Hill, have
been suggested by Town Board to fill vacant seat on Planning Board. Chair-
woman Caldwell spoke to one of the men and will speak to the other.
Mrs. Caldwell gave a County Planning Board report, as-follows:
1) Nuclear waste transportation
a) To ship on four lane highways with controls
b) Also other hazzard like materials, chlorine etcl
c) Legal .framework
2) Transportation question

d) 18.5% of population are transportation disadvantaged
in 1970 report. Includes aged, no cars, disabled etc.
Mr. Bonn suggested a bus service where people go and park their car
and be picked up by the bus. Chairwoman Caldwell said distance is not long
enough.

Mr. Stewart, zoning officer, submitted his report as to number of lots
in sub - divisions still available, where a road has been put in and approved
by Town Highway Department. There are a total of 127 lots with a total road
frontage of 26,825 feet.
The board would like to know the cost of plowing and maintaining a mile
of road. Town Board member H. Tarr will try and get that amount for our
next meeting.
Mr. Bonn asked Mr. Tarr if recreation area discussed for one use of
abandoned railroad- -,property. He said no.. Town mainly wanted property
for future sewage use.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Joan Bray Secretary
