Present: Chw. B. Caldwell, B. Lavine, J. Motsay, C, Dann, R, Mel, Zo, S, Stewart
Correction on May 3, 1979 ninutes in spelling for Jerry Weisberg, should be Jerold
Weisburd.
Chairwoman B. Caldwell reviewed Rocco Lucente, Caswell Road, proposal as not re�
ceiving either a negative or positive vote. The board is requesting being.declsred
lead agency under the Enviromental Review Act and will require a draft of Enviromental
Impact Statement.

Dennis Lowes clarified the following questions as_ mentioned in
minutes
of May 3,

meeting,
1) A -3 - question on total number of acres, Total land, all phases is 157
acres. The z acre water .surface area should .read zero, The forestry
total should read 84.7 acres, after completion,
2) A -5B - question on depth of bedrock, Stated it varies, One place they Went
down 8' and still in gravel, It's undetermined as this ppint, The
drainage is good, Mr. Sutton stated he is considering dropping the
Thomas Road strip from stage one of the project, .Also mentioned three
• lots are approved and four .wells are in,
3) 9-.question as to whether there are hunting and fishing opportunities, No
was checked. There is very little fishing andf,as for. :hunting, people
have hunted there. The land is now posted, Dr. D. E, Kaxig wondered
if any modifications to the channel. The answer was no, as far as the
tract was concerned.
4) 12- question was the project site presently used by the community or neighR
borhood as an open space or recreation area, People have skied in the*
area. Answer no but, was practiced illegally for many years, The'land
has been posted since September or October of 1978,
5) B -1G - question on project description, maximum vehicular traffic per day,
Answer fifty trips , only phase one.
6) B -3 Acres of vegetation, trees etc. will be removed, Answer only for homes,
Now will read three acres,
7) B -14 Project or any portion located in the one hundred year flood plan, The
answer now is yes,
8) 25 - State agency or wet land permits, After topo map is done, DEC representa-
tive will go out to tract with-map and designate -wet lands,
Mr. Sutton wants to change the now Peaceful Drive and relocate to work into the dew
opment and not have the right angle, There is a right of way which is.dedicated as
such. Residents involved are four, Coopers, Shutts, Halls and Hoover, and land .where

motion that the board approve preliminary platt. Motion second
by Mr.
Dann,
The
board members voted-yes. and motion carried;
A petition from the Finger Lakes'Running Club, regarding.Leh.igh-valley right of
way, was circulated and looked over by the board members,
Also Mr. Anderson has no objection for Planning Board being .lead agency for 'Rocco
Lucente project.
�Mr. Litwin represented a group of residents from German Cross Road, whp are conR
rned about a new two lane bridge .being constructed where a one lane bridge s nQW7
across Six'Mile Creek. As far as he can find out, no one fvom the County, town
representative, or planning board knows why its being constructed except general
maintenance. There concerns:
1) increase traffic
2) flood hazzard, new bridge .would have no more clearance,
3)'_ visibility
The planning board made no recommendation on that part of road as•part Qf.their
general plans for town of Dryden.
Whereas the residents of the area express concern over the proposal of anew - two
lane bridge, Mr. Lavine made the followi.ng-motion, that the town of Dryden` communicate
with the County Highway Department to express the residents concerns.about.this project
which they understand is being proposed and.see why kinds of'coordinat;ion -T} ght.be
worked out on the planning of this project. The motion was second by Mr. Dann,
What roll will German Cross Road play in the town or county future in the
transportation network of the new bridge and more specifically will the new bridge
being proposed have a significant change in the traffic quantity and speed and what
1 will the affects be in terms of flooding in the area.
The motion carried by board members voting yes.
Mr. Lavine made a motion, April 20, 1978, concerning storing of nuclear waste in
ur area, motion read as follows:

. Sutton has a shed. Mr. Sutton wants to do the road so theire is no sharp corer
and done so that headlights aren't directed into anyonels home,
Mr. Lavine made following motion, the planning board recommend; the swop _ that �s

sidered a reasonable alternative to the existing situation? Motion. second by "MK.,.R,
