=S. Kirsch met with Alan Greene. Read a copy of a letter which compliments
qqb
the Outing Program.
- Discussion of cemetery to be worked on by volunteer crew... has been a
clean -up of a local cemetery by JoAnn and a small crew.
- Discussion of Etna Cemetery to be cleaned as requested by a resident...
volunteer crew needed since it is a private cemetery.

-Aram deKoven introduced as new half time youth worker.
-Aram is full time at this point due to LLP year of July 1 - June 30.
Stalemate in State Budget has not yet confirmed LLP budget. Dryden Youth
Commission is paying full time for now.
5. Program Reports:
a.) School year program expected to continue next year. The Youth Info
Center has moved to the Science Center so there is room for a new program.
(See enclosed youth service Managers report.)
b.) Short video was shown of the recent Youth Leadership Conference. Being
designed and edited by two students of Tompkins County as an informative
piece for other groups. Flier is also being processed concerning the Youth
Conference to be used in the some manner. Budget update of Dryden Youth
Program was passed out... See enclosed.
c.) Fliers have gone home about summer programming services. Distributed
around town, sent home with students, mailed in bills to trailer courts.
Some concern over low registration. Discussion of logistics...
transportation is a major concern for many people. Still looking for the
basketballs and tee shirts (from last year) for 3 on 3 basketball program.
Also a short mention that there are already suggestions for odd jobs for
teens in the fall. Suggestion that perhaps a teen could be hired to help
coordinate fall job matching with youths for hire.
d.) Due to Youth Conservation Corps hiring happening a bit earlier this year,
some kids seemed to have missed the chance to apply. Parents were asking
about it. There are 5 boys & 3 girls. Two alternates have already stepped
in to fill in spaces. Corps work starts on July 15 and goes from 9 -3:30
daily.
e.)Youth Bureau & Cooperative Extension are working together for planning of
the Outings Program for next year.

small projects.
