TOWN BOARD BUDGET WORKSHOP
October 14, 2025

The board heard budget presentations by Dryden Ambulance, Neptune Hose Fire
Department, Varna Volunteer Fire Department, and WB Strong Fire Company.
There was discussion about formation of a fire district and fire chiefs agreed they were
willing to participate in exploring the option.
The board then discussed the proposed wage schedule. Cl Lamb will not agree to the
large increases resulting from the current proposal. Another budget workshop was scheduled
for October 22, 2025. A preliminary budget needs to be finalized, and a public h earing
scheduled (no later than the Thursday following election day). There needs to be a week’s lead
time for publication.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:22 p.m.
