LEGAL NOTICE
PLEAHE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town
of Dryden will conduct a public hearing to consider the application.
of Brian Earl to add a family room and garage to his home at 618
West Dryden Rd. and is requesting a variance to Sec. 804 of the
Town Zoning Ordinance which requires that a building be at least
70 ft. from the road center line and 15 ft. from a side property
line.
SAID HEARING will be held on Tues. July 3, 1979 at the Dryden Town
Hall 65 E. Main St. Dryden N.Y. at 8:10 P.M. at which time all
interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Persons
may appear in person or by agent.

Hearing #1 - Alton Reed, 327 Mt. Pleasant Road
A public hearing was held to consider the application of Alton Reed to build a
house off Mt. Pleasant Road and is requesting a variance to Section 702 of the Town.
Zoning Ordinance whick requires a lot to have at least 125' of street frontage.
A letter was pr�sented by Mr. Reed from Wm. Keeton who stated he would give
right of way 5' wide along westerly border but only for this one houses k.'-

Mr. Tom Keene, 210 Mt. Pleasant Road, spoke for the variance.
Decision: All members voted yes , variance granted.
Hearing #2 - Gordon Whitted, 761 Millard Hill Road, Newfield, N.Y. and Michael
Pichael, 410 College Avenue, Ithaca, N.Y.
A public hearing was held to consider the application of Mr. Whitted and Mr.
Pichael to build three one family homes off Whitted Road and are requesting a variance
to Section 702 of the Town Zoning Ordinance which requires a lot have at least 125'
of street frontage.
Mrs. Laure Homeburg represented the applicants and stated that one house
didn't front on the road but, the two other homes would. If town road they are
requesting a variance. They would have to maintain road if found that Whitted Road
was not a town road.
Decision: Reserve decision until the board can find out if Whitted Road is a town
road. Will discuss at meeting in August.
Hearing #3 - Brian Earl, 618 West Dryden Road
A public hearing was held to consider the application of Mr. Earl to add a
family room and garage to his home and is requesting a variance to Section. 804 of the
Town Zoning Ordinance which requires that a building be at least 70, from road center
line and 15' from a side property line.
Mr. Earl presented two letters, Mr. Malcolm Lewis and Frank Prugh, both neighbors
voicing no opposition for the variance.

Hearing #1 - Iris Goldfarb and Johnny Hagen of 3 Hall Woods Drive, Ithaca, N.Y.
A public hearing was held to consider the application of Iris Goldfarb and
Johnny Hagen to build a garage and are requesting a variance to Section 804 of
the Town Zoning Ordinance which states that all buildings must be at least 70'
from center of the road.
No additional comments.
Decision: All board members voted yes, variance granted.
A hearing was held July 3, 1979 for George Whitted and Michael Pichael.
They were requesting variances for three family homes off Whitted Road. Decision
was reserved for later date due to concern as whether Whitted Road was a town
road.
Discussion tonight, centered mostly on concern of Whitted Road being a town
road or not a town road. After some discussion, the board members voted yes,
unanimously and variance granted with stipulation that property owners will not
seek services from the Town of Dryden.

variance to Section 701 of Town Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Tryon will have home on basement with garage and family room in
basement. Also plan to put regular shingle roof on home and have a
deck.
Decision: All three zoning members voted yes, variance granted.
