Carpenter Hearing - 7:45 PM Feb. 1, 1977 Appeal made by Tompkins Coiinty SPCA regarding the decision of the down Zoning Officer 6onying them Permission to extend their existing facility at 1640 Hanshaw Rd. Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Howland, Vr. Brothers, representatives of the 6PCA were present at the meeting. NeighDora in the area have been contacted and no opposition has been expressed. Nfr, brothers stated the need to expand in order to filfilf contract %ith,'Tompkins County, and that f)inc6ion 01' facility wi-It not be changed. Addition to be lised for Kennel at a cost of approximately 4p.100,000-jU- Type of constriction to be masonry and frame. One story with hot air and electric heat.- Floor area 4072 sq. ft. Pci si on: (- ranted 5 Hearing #2 - 7:50 PM Appeal made by L. Werninck & Sons of 173 Main St. Freeville, NY. Mr. Werninck wishes permission to build a commerical storage and sales building at approximately 324 Main St., Freeville. Applicant stated there would be no further development of land, and would be willing to leave trees. Board Member R. O'Brien asked about hardship. Mr. Werninck stated site is not suitable for residnetial development of a high density nature. A commercial building would utilize the site without draining and clearing the land. Frontage of land used is on a state highway with no increase in traffic on secondary roads. Decision: Granted 5-0 Building must be set back 150 ft. from the road.
