Attendance: Ray, Bob, Todd, Dan, Alice
Convened at 4:03 pm
Property transfers
Knickerbocker s property details
Survey is expected from Mike Reagan soon. Donation agreement Sewer & water, deed RTPT
all these docs will go to DOT for pre-approval
Will need TB resolution accepting the Hale and Knickerbocker properties
re: CU property, will need to go through a formal acceptance by the TB. As soon as it arrives
from CU
Todd said CU real estate said previous agreement for the ROW from CU is acceptable to
construct the bridge on; but need to accept the new portion from CU.
Chapter 11 process is all documented for Knickerbocker & CU; appraisals are needed if value of
parcel is less than $10K. For Knickerbocker will make case based on fact the property is
encumbered for water and sewer and has limited access.
Proceeding with TB hearing of billboard law. Ray will meet with Park outdoor tomorrow to
learn their wishes. New law allows two one-mile overlays that would allow electronic
billboards. One issue is the 30 second interval the town wants to include. Discussion of dark
skies recommendations.
Bat survey
Info has gone to DEC and division of wildlife services; six people volunteered for the survey.
There were no bats found. DPW took the two town trees down, Cascadilla took down the other
two. Project is now cleared of that requirement. Paul realigned to keep within the CU
easement, so there’s no additional tree clearing needed.
Form liners for abutments
Todd sent recommended design to Paul and Ray on May 17.
Todd’s responses to engineer issues:
Need to fix Paul’s notes on Todd’s suggestions on dealing with Japanese Knotweed. Erosion
control measures: where is the specification for the seed mix?
Todd will follow up with Paul and copy Ray
$75K for bridge inspection
This was an unexpected cost required by DOT. Paul and Ray objected but DOT insisted.
DOT did install the Village of Dryden crosswalk striping and pedestrian signage.
Rick Young has agreed to improve signs at Mt. Pleasant Rd. One went missing, possibly
removed by broadband installers.
Town of Ithaca reached out to Todd re expanding parking at the GF crossing. Todd initiated
conversations with two property stewards at CU. If CU is amenable, T Ithaca may be interested
in developing more parking. Expanding the soccer fields lot would be cheapest.
