New Business
Interview/Meeting with prospective members of the Conservation Board
Introductions were made around the room, providing name and a brief description of each person’s
background/contribution to this board.
P. Davies described what the Conservation Board does:
• A voice to the Town Board regarding conservation of natural resources.
• We discuss periodic things that are happening in the town that might make affect natural
resources (i.e., the effort of a farm to get a conservation easement, conservation sub-divisions,
replacement of the Freese Road bridge)
A. Clark and D. Wilson each gave their background history and explained what they felt they could bring
to the conservation board. Discussion included the ditching program, absorbent mats/rocks, complexity
of roads. P. Davies proposed that A. Clark and D. Wilson would fit well on the conservation board, there
were no objections by any of the members, they were all unanimously in favor.
Discussion ensued regarding M. Richmond changing from a member to an alternate and S. Bissen
stepping down from the board. S. Bissen wishes to stay the EMC liaison without being a member of the
conservation board. B. Beck stated our by-laws state the liaison to the EMC must be a full board
member. Discussion ensued regarding allowing S. Bissen to remain the liaison.
The representative to the EMC will be addressed at the January 2019 meeting
