ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
August 5, 1986
Zoning Board of Appeals met August 5, 1986 with members D. Rose,
Chr. P. Brellochs, & N. LaMotte present. Absent: C. Hatfield, J. Baker,
& Z.O. S. Stewart. Also present: H. Nash, C. Gilbert, & D. Beale..
HEARING I
Public hearing to consider application of Harlow Nash of Etna, N.Y. to
build a 20 unit rental storage building at 111 Sheldon Rd. & is requesting
variance to Sec. 801 & 802 of Town Zoning Ordinance.
H. Nash present - presented sketch - general discussion: large spaces, 10
per side, overhead doors, parking & driveway on both sides of building -
no electricity in building - security lighting outside, no security fencing -
approximate outside dimensions 50 x 100 ft, wide driveway (15 -20 ft) - set
back approximately 100 ft from edge of road & 40 -70 ft side yard due to angle
on Davies property side. No further questions or comments.
HEARING II
Public hearing to consider application of Christopher Gilbert of 88
German Cross Rd to build carport & is requesting variance to Sec. 703 -1of
Town Zoning Ordinance which requires building be at least 70' from road
center line.
C. Gilbert present - provided sketches - general discussion: house located
43 -45 ft from road - road curves in front of house - due to slope of land,
only one practical location for carport - fill & retaining wall necessary.
Carport to be 12 x 15 ft. No further questions or comments.
HEARING III
Public hearing to consider application of Richford Cabinetry to use
building at 1792 Slaterville Rd. for an office for their remodeling company
& are requesting variance to Section 701 of Town Zoning Ordinance.
D. Beale present - presented sketch - general discussion - Will basically
use building for office & some storage, will have secretary there. Very low
traffic use - 4 employees, 2 partners - No plans to increase size only increase
efficiency - will keep shop in Richford - parking adequate - No further
questions or comments.
Bc-d moved into Executive Session.
Public hearings reopened.
