TOWN OF DRYDEN
TOWNBOARD MEETING
August 10, 2011

Supv Sumner opened the meeting at 7'00 p_rn I
Supv Sumner said she will be working with the Freeville Fire Department on a bunker
agreement_ They have a fourth person interested in their bunker program and are in need of
another apartment. She said it will be written along the same lines as the Varna bunker
program. Fmeville Fire Department wants some assurance from the town that their bunker
program will be supported. Supv Sumner said she is not sure she would advocate for two
apartments, but needs more information about their existing program'
The board discussed referring the new zoning law, when the final draft is ready, to the
Planning Board for their review, The final updated articles are expected next week. Cl Leifer
said the sound performance standards and gas drilling /exploratiorX sections need to be added.
Budget schedule � Supv Sumner reviewed her budget schedule. She expects to have
the first draft available to board members at the September Abstract & Agenda meeting_ She
suggested the board schedule a meeting September 28 for review so that a tentative budget can
be filed with the town clerk on September 30, The budget can be discussed again at the
October Abstract & Agenda meeting. She asked the board to consider scheduling a meeting on
October 26 for a final review, The public hearing on the budget must be held by November 10
and requires a five day public notice.
Cl Leifer would like to schedule public informational meetings regarding Time Warner.
We could devote a portion of the regular Town Board meeting to tape comments, or have one
meeting in Varna and one at the Dryden 'VFW. There could possibly be a joint meeting with the
Village (who doesn't have build -out issue).
Supv Sumner said Atty Perkins has suggested outreach for the new zoning law, and
perhaps that could be combined with the Time Warner meetings-
Cl Leifer will put together an information sheet and set up the meetings for Time
Warner, Supv Sumner suggested that comments and questions could be collected on the
websi to. September 6 is a possible date for one of the sessions_
Next week's meeting will include the Dedrick mine application, the Carter open
development application, and introduction of the critical environmental areas, Supv Sumner
will make sure the applications are on the website.

Budget modifications have been requested to cover the cost of a switch for the server
and the Yellow Barn proposed water district.

Cl Makar offered the following resolution and asked for its adoption:
