® TOWN BOARD MEETING
.Tune 16, 2009
At 10:30 a.m. on this date at the request of Henry Slater, Supervisor Mary Ann Sumner,
Cl David Makar and Cl Jason Leifer gathered to discuss the water supply situation on North
Street.
ZO Slater had recently :att:ended a meeting of the Village of Dryden Department of Public
Works where the subject of a Cortland Road Water District was discussed. There is an old
agreement that the Village of Dryden would supply .eater to the farmhouse at: the TC3
entrance. There are 14 other users hooked into the old cast iron line and the line is failing.
The Village has been informed by the health department that they may fix leaks as they occur,
but may not install a new line because there is no water district. Village officials want to kno%v
if the Town would support: a district and if so, what properties should be included.
There was a feasibility study done five years ago or so on forming a water district along
Cortland Road. There have been some properties annexed to the Village since that time. There
was discussion about which properties should be, or would want to be, included in such a
district. Supv Sumner will look into the expense of having that study updated.
Respectfully submitted,
