Members and guests participated in the Fledge of Allegiance
Roll call was by Town Clerk Lloyd:

Approval of the Minutes - Motion �n was made by Clm T. Hatfield and
second by Clm Roberts that the minutes of Town Board meeting held

RESOLUTION NO. 152 (1994)

Councilman Baker offered the following resolution and asked
for its adoption:
WHEREAS, the State of New York has constructed certain
improvements which presently constitute a private road serving the
New York State Armory in the Town and which private road connects
Hanshaw Road and Lower Creek Road, and
WHEREAS, the State of New York has had said improvements and
the private road surveyed and has presented a copy of said survey
to the Town, and
WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent and Town Engineer
have reviewed said survey and the construction, methods, materials
and quality of the construction and found the same to be in
compliance with Town of Dryden requirements, and
WHEREAS, the Town Attorney has reviewed the sufficiency
proposed description which would convey said private road

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
• 10 That the Town of Dryden accept a conveyance of the road
connecting Hanshaw Road and Lower Creek Road from the State of New
York by such deed or conveyance as may in the opinion of the Town
Attorney be sufficient to vest title to said road in the Town;
2. That said road upon conveyance to the Town shall
henceforth be known as "Abbott Road" subject to further resolution
of this Town Board,

regarding part of the land that is in the r -w where the Monkey
Run water and sewer lines are located. Mr. Foster er i s 1 c ii .-i k i n g for
the Town Board to entertain a revision or modification of the
easement which was for the Monkey Run water /sewer. This involves
several feet,
Z.O. Slater - the building is there by a variance nr.,w and with an
extension to the building would be � �n the easement part of the
property.

easement right because Mr. Faster has not bought the property
yet.

RESOLUTION #154 SOLID WASTE FEE ON TAX BILL.

Clm Roberts offered the following resolution and asked for its
adoption:
RESOLVED, that this Dryden Town Board is not in favor of having
the Tompkins County Solid id Waste Fee" on the 1995 (or any future
years) Town and County tax bill for the following concernsc
1. Confusion by bank escrow departments in not paying correct
amount due.
2. Extra work involved i f taxpayer does riot want to pay solid
waste fee.
3. County is planning 1:1n doing a new computer tax program for
1995 taxes and this should be up and running correctly before
anything else is added.
4. The town must be compensated for extra work involved.
5. Hearing complaints from residents about solid waste fee.
Until such time a 1 1 concerns are resolved the solid waste fee
should not be itemized on the Town and County tax bill.

ENGINEERING
Supv Schug - regarding the Ithaca Area Wastewater Treatment
Plant, the committee wants figures on a long range projection for
water and sewer. Supv Schug would like George Schlecht and Dave
Putnam to do the projection ion for the two areas that would be
feeding into downtown. Supv Schug would like the figures so he
can present them to the sewer committee for the plans on what
kind of capacity the town would need over the next 15 or 20
years.

Supv Schug - cemetery update - the California Cemetery is in nice
shape and he is trying t� � contact Harry Weldon to have another
one worked on this summer.
