Clint Cotterill - he attended the task force cat committee last
week. They passed out information and there was no discussion as
to whether you were noinn to have a cat 1icensinn ordinance. He
thought this had been done in Previous meetings and they were
proceeding as if it was a foregone conclusion and he had only
missed one meeting. They did pass out a feasibility study stating
that only 54 per cent of the dons in Tompkins County are licensed
and they hoped to net the same percentage in cats. The pr• posed
rate would be $5.00 for a neutered � �r spayed cat and up to $15.00
for an unspaved or Unneutered cat. They only talked about how it
was noino to be administered riot if it was noinq to be
administered. The first option was that the SPCA was noinn to do
everyth inra and the second option ion Wo uld be a carbon copy of the
dog program that the state now mandates that the municipalities
would do the licenses and enumeration. One reason the SPCA is
pushing this is they are receiving $20,000.00 from the county and
the SPCA is claiming they are spending $40.000.00 therefore they

During the month of March, new construction has come to

There was only one fire chimney fire, one heating equipment
failure and three calls for collapsing roofs. Only the

and are back in use other than one mobile home which is being
held up by insurance payment delays.

The Planning Board has now begun the actual subdivision
review of phase one for the Peregrine Hollow Subdivision on
Snyder Hill Road. With their March 31st special session, the
phase one, 46 lots of one and two family homes, received
preliminary approval.

RESOLUTION #132 RENAME PORTION OF WOOD ROAD
Clm C. Hatfield offered the following resolution and asked for
its ads apt ion:
RESOLVED, that because of a conflict within the 898 telephone
exchange it has been suggested that the Town of Dryden rename
Wood Road to North Wood Read so as riot to be in conflict with the
Wood Road in Groton and as these people affected are using the
North Wo od Road address then
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Town Board officially rename
the portion of Wood Road, from Bone Plain Road north to Route
34B, North Wood Road. Each home owner along the so stated road
will be notified of this change as will the post office of Groton
and Freev i 1 1 e and the Fire Coordinator's office.
