SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 2 , 1988
Minutes of the special meeting held Feb 2nd
Roll call was by the Town Clerk :
P resent : Supv Cotterill , Clm Schlecht , Clm Garlock , Clm
H atfield and Atty Perkins
Absent : Clm Evans
Atty Perkins - there needs to be a resolution introducing the
proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance and another resolution
introducing the Town of Dryden Mobile Home Ordinance .
There was discussion where the public hearings would be held and
w as decided that it should be held at the high school
No motion was made for either resolution since there was some
misunderstanding of the wording that the committee had recommended
and was not in the present form of the amendments , therefore Clm
G arlock was not in favor .
Atty Perkins - the areas that were changed were page 2 definitions
w hich deleted any reference to RC Zone and RB1 Zone . Also delete
that part in F any reference to RD Zone . The next change would be
on page 14 , the committee recommended the following language
( mobile home lots maybe located in any zone as defined in the Town
o f Dryden Zoning Ordinance as RC , RB1 or RD ) . What the proposed
change does is that they are allowed wherever the mobile home
o rdinance allows them , which would be in the RC Zone . The other
d eletion in Section 316 on page 19 ( see Section 703 Item 4 Town of
D ryden Ordinances and Local Laws ) which is unnecessary . On page 20
S ection 318 he has referred to the correct title of the local law .
• The only change is in Section 301 .
There was considerable discussion on Section 301A
Atty Perkins - the committee recommended that mobile homes be
allowed in RC , RB1 and RD Zones . His instructions were to prepare
an amendment which would allow them in the RC Zone , from this Town
B oard .
Supv Cotterill - when Clm Garlocks committee had their hearing did
n ot have anything to do as to where they were allowed it was to
h ow they were allowed . Those questions came up all the time as to
w hen the map was going to be changed and where the mobile homes
w ould be allowed . There were on going studies with the Planning
B oard , and Town Board and the decision was made last November when
t his was turned over to Atty Perkins that mobile homes were going
t o be proposed to be allowed in the RC Zone . Clm Garlocks committee
was never charged with the job as to deciding where but as to how .
Clm Garlock felt that the committee was charged with deciding as to
w here and how they would be allowed .
osa
Supv Cotterill
- Clm Garlocks committee recommended that the mobile
homes be allowed in the same zones RC , RB1 and RD . The Town Board
made the final adoption .
. Since the Board members could not agree on the zones for mobile
homes there was no action taken .
