M . Present were Supervisor Todd , Councilmen Jones , Benson & Ogden , Attorney Amdur and Assessor Wells . Absent was Councilman Lee . The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read . Mr . Harold Case was present <: and asked Supervisor Todd when the work would start on the Water District . Supervisor Todd reported that work would start Monday November 14th . . Mr . Edward Newhart was present and stated he had a few problems to bring before the Board brought to him by varies people in the Bethel Grove Area . He questioned what was being done by Cleminshaw when the appraisers returned to check out some of the houses , as he had complaints that they still were not going through -: the homes . Assessor Wells re - plied that perhaps they had enough information on their cards they did not feel they needed to go over it completely again . Mr . Newhart then wanted to know what the Town Board could do if anything about Cheracche T . V . furnishing them with only five channels when a twelve channel system had been promised . Supervisor Todd reported that the Town could do nothing and Attorney Amdur pointed out that all the Franchise did was permit Cheracche to use the Town Roads . Mr . Newhart further stated that the people who were in the new development , Pine Woods East were not getting postal service , and had not been getting it since July . The Board did not feel they could do anything about this , however , Council - man Benson suggested these people write U . S . Representative Howard W . Robison . Mr . Newhart then suggested that the polling place in the Village Hall be enlarged in some way . Supervisor Todd will look into the possibilities . RESOLUTION #146 FIRE CONTRACT - VARNA Councilman Benson offered the following resolution and asked its adoption . RESOLVED that a Fire Hearing be held December 13 , 1966 at 7 : 30 P . M . in the Dryden Town Hall . . 2nd Councilman Ogden . Carried . Supervisor Todd asked the Board if they had come with a name of a candidate to serve on the Equal Opportunity Committee . No one had a name to furnish at this time . JUNK YARD LICENSE Councilman Ogden reported that he had been over to Mr . Charles Collins place and that it was well out of sight and could not be seen from the Road . Supervisor Todd reported that he had talked with Walt Schwann who owns the property adjoining Mr . Collins and Mr . Schwann had no objection to a junk yard license . Councilman Ogden further reported that Mr . Collins wanted to take vehicles out of the Town of Dryden - he would take ten or more at . a time at present , but he hoped to be able to take one or two cars in the future . Attorney Amdur reported at this time that she had run into a problem . The Town Ordinance stated that a fee of $ 25 . 00 would be charged for this license and it would expire December 31st . According to Article 6 of the General Business Law a Town or Village shall charge a fee of $ 5 . 00 and all licenses expire June 30th each year . Some discussion followed regarding the fee , and Mrs . Amdur decided to look over the Town Ordinance again . She found IIO it to be written it such a way that the Town not only charged for the license but also for making the necessary inspections of the premises etc . RESOLUTION #147 JUNK YARD LICENSE Councilman Benson offered the following resolution and asked its adoption . RESOLVED that the Town Board approve the application of Mr . Charles Collins for a Junk Yard License . 2nd Councilman Jones . Carried . RESOLUTION #148 STANDARD FORM Councilman Benson offered the following resolution and asked its adoption . RESOLVED that the Town have a standard form with a $ 25 . 00 fee and expira - tion date of June 30th for all Junk Yard License . 2nd Councilman Ogden . Carried . 115 helping in this work and so was he , and that there would not be any additional charges for this work by the Company . Supervisor Todd stated at this time he felt this motion should be tabled for one month in this length of time the Board should be able to determine if they were doing the job . RESOLUTION# 11+5 TABLE , CLEMINSHAW MOTION Supervisor Todd offered the following resolution and asked its adoption . RESOLVED that this motion be tabled for one month . 2nd Councilman Jones . Roll call vote - all voting YES . The meeting was adjourned at 11 : 10 P . M . The next regular Board Meeting will be held November 9 , 1966 at 8 P . M .
