The regular monthly meeting of the Dryden Town Board was called to
o rder by Supervisor Gridley at 8 p . m . Present were Justices
Hoagland and Spaulding , Councilman Saltonstall , and Hwy Supt . Case .
Absent : Clm . Baker .
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved .
Mr . Wade Alexander asked to be heard , and expressed his hope that
. , Caswell Road be included in the plans for permanent improvement . It
was explained projects tnder the Erwin plan must be approved in advance ,
so that the 1962 projects were determined some months ago . Various
h ighway needs and problems were discussed , as well as possibilities
for work to be undertaken outside the Erwin plan . It was agreed that
further review is need before any commitment can be made about 1963
projects . .
Moved by Justice Spaulding , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that General
bills totaling $ 1811 . 07 be paid as audited . Roll call vote , all present
voting YES . Absent : Clm . Baker .
Moved by Justice , Hoagland , seconded by Justice Spaulding , that highway
bills totaling $ 3429 . 82 be paid as audited . Roll call vote , all present
voting YES . Absent : Clm . Baker .
Moved by Justice Hoagland , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that this
B oard hold a public hearing at 8 p . m . on March 6th at the Town Hall ,
fegarding application of the Dryden Community Antenna Corporation for
amendment to the ' frahchise granted to it on December 30 , 1961 .

The next regular meeting of this Board will be akx2xiaxm . March 6th .
L etter from State Traffic Commission was read rejecting the joint
application of the Towns of Dryden and Ithaca for speed restriction on
the Sapsuckerwoods Road . Letter placed on file .
Clm . Saltonstall offered the following resolution and moved its
adoption : WHEREAS there has been appropriated a sum of $ 8100 . 00 in
the 1962 budget for the purpose of paying the fire contradts ,
BE IT RESOLVED that the same be paid to the respective fire
departments on or about February 7 , 1962 . Resolution seconded by
Justice Hoagland . Roll call vote , all - voting YES .
' Moved by Justice ' Hoagland , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that Super-
✓ isor Gridley be appointed delegate from the Town of Dryden to the
Tompkins County Committee for Municipal Cooperation . Motion
carried and .

Moved by Justice Hoagland , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that Super-
visor Gridley be , authorized to enter into any preliminary investigation
w ith the Towns of Ithaca and Lansing that might lead to consideration
and study of water problebb andspossibiliities . Motion carried and
so ordered .
Moved by Clm . Saltonstall , seconded by Justice Hoagland , that Super-
visor Gridley work out w ' s en sor Abrams a plan for travel for
assessment work along the/t1li fl : that the present truck assigned to
that department be returned to the highway department , and that
the assessor provide his own car , for which he would receive a set
payment each month plus gas and oil at the Town pump . Motion
carried and so ordered .
Moved by Clm . Saltonstall , seconded by Justice Hoagland , that up to
two members of the Planning Board , as well as the Chairman , be author-
ized to attend the Annuar Meeting of the Association of Towns at Town
e xpense . Motion'' carried and so ordered .
Moved by Justice 'tHoagland , seconded by Clm . Saltonstall , that Mrs .
A . K . Fletcher b 'e appointed to the Town Planning Board for one year .
, Motion carried and so ordered .
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned .
