February 4 , 1952
On February 4 , 1952 a call of the hearing for the purchase of
a dump truck was read at 7 : 30 P . M . with Justices Baker , Shaw ,
Whitford and Spaulding , Supervisor Downey . and Highway Superintendent
Beach present after which the regular meeting of the Town Board .
was called to order . The minutes of the January meeting were read
and also the minutes of the Special Meeting which was held January 12
at Justice Spaulding ' s for the appointment of a Registrar of Vital
Statistics . The minutes of the special meeting were approved as read .

The bills for the General Fund amounting to $3635 . 32 , the Youth
Project Bills amounting to f and the Fire Fund. Bills amounting
to 42100 on motion by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw
w ere ordered paid . Carried by a roll call vote with all Justices
✓ oting Yes . The bills of the • Highway Department amounting to .
079 . 85 on motion by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice
Baker were . ordered paid . Carried by a roll call vote with all
. Justices voting Yes .

A letter from the State Traffic Commission in regards to speed.
limit on the Ellis Hollow Road which i. s known as County Road 110
was read and on motion of Justice Baker and seconded by Justice
Spaulding a copy is to be sent to Rubin Shapley .
The Supervisor reported that his Annual Report has been placed on
file in the Town Clerk ' s office and also in his own office where it
may be examined by the public .
There being no interested property owners present to be heard the
Public Hearing ordered closed at 9 : 00 P . M .
The salaries for the Justices were fixed at the following amounts : •
Justice Whitford 1200 , Justice Spaulding 4900 and Justices Baker ,
Shaw and Johnson 200 each .
Moved by Whitford and seconded by Justice Shaw that the Constables
✓ etain fees collected while acting on civil cases . Motion made by
Justice Shaw and seconded by Justice Whitford that Constables Freeman
Carpenter , Edward VLelser and Ira Reed be notified to have duplicate
fingerprints of both hands made and placed on file , one copy in the
Town Clerk ' s Office and one with the N . Y . S . Board of Correction .
Carried by a roll call vote with all Justices voting Yes .
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice Baker that on
✓ ecommendation of Mr . Kill , the State Auditor , that there be set abide
from time to time from the Highway Budget Item No . 3 by the . Town Board
n ot to exceed 0500 for the purchase of motor oils , tires and small tools .
Motion carried by a roll call vote with all Justices voting Yes . .
Resolution by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice Shaw whereas
the Town Superintendent of Highways being on the 3rd day of October 1951
- recommended the purchase of certain machinery pursuant to the Provision
No . 142 of the Highway Law and a notice of such recommendation has been
duly published as ne=i44 in such act .

Therefore be it resolved that pursuant to Section 142 of the
Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized
to purchase from the Brockway Motor Co . , Inc . , one Brockway dump truck .
No . 146 at a price of S4600 plus trade - in of a Brockway No . 150 - X5
of the year 1937 . Carried by a roll call vote with all Justices voting
. - Yes .
