October - 2-; 1950
The regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the
Town of Dryden was held on October 2 , 1950 at 7 : 30 P . M . .
Present were Supervisor Charles Downey , Hwy ; Supt.,
Stacy Beach; Justices Harry Spaulding , Alvord Baker , Ara Johnson,
Dewey Whitfordand Francis Shaw .
Supervisor Downey presiding .
The minutes of the September 5th , meeting were read..
for information. only;
Moved by Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice
Shaw that the General bills totaling $ 573 ; 79 plus the Bethel Grove
Youth project billsctotalsng t 124 ; 91 :- be paid as audited ; Carried=
by a roll call vote ; All Justices voting Yes ,
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice..
J ohnson that the Highway bills totaling C1642 . 78 be paid as audited;
Carried by a roll call vote , All Justices voting Yes ;
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice
J ohnson that the rate of pay for the Inspectors of Elections remain
the same as the previous year as follows : : Short Registration Day.
6; 00 ; Long Registration Day it 7 ; 00 ; ; Primary Day . 8 :; 00 ; General
Election Day $ 10 ; 00 ; ; Instruction Meeting $ 1 . 00 plus $ ; 04 a mile
each way which is the legal rate of mileage . Carried
by a - roll call vote ; All Justices voting - Yes';
Moved by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice
Spaulding that the Custodians rate of pay remain the same as the
previous year , $ 40 ; 00 for each Custodians Carried by a roll call vote;
All Justices voting Yes:
Moved by Justice Whitford and seconded by Justice _
J ohnson- that $ 2000 ; be transferred from General fund to Hwy ; Item. 111
and $ 2000 be transfered from ' General to Hwy . Item 1V , Carried ;
Justice Spaulding offeredthe following resolution.'
and asked its adoption^.
RESOLVED , that this Town Board does hereby prepare
and approve as the Preliminary Budget of this Town-ifor the fiscal
year beginning on - the 1st ; day of January - 1951 , the itemized statements
o f the estimated revenues and expenditures hereto attached and made a
part of this resolution; and be it
FUTHER RESOLVED , that such Prelimianary Budget shall be filed in the
o ffice of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspection.
by any interested person at all resonable hours , and be it
FUTHER RESOLVED , that this Board shall meet between the hours of
7: 30 P . M . and 8 : 30 P . M . , on the 3rd ; day of November 1950 for the
purpose of holding a public hearing upon such Preliminary Budget, .
and be it
FUTHER RESOLVED , that the Town Clerk. give notice of such public hearing
in the matfrer provided in Sec 113of the Town Law and that such notice

WHEREAS : the Superintendent of Highways of the Town:
of TDryden has recommended the purchase of a Truck costing $ 8975 : 00
the' Town Boardwill meet to consider such purchase at, the Town office
building. on November 3rd . , 1950 between the hours of 8 : 30 ' P . M. . and
9 : OO �P , M. :.
_ . and will hear all property owners interested concerning same
Seconded by Justice Shaw; Carried and so ordered; .

Shaw that the Town Clerk write a letter to the Men at the G . L . F .
Service Garage expressing the Town Board ' s : appreciation for the fine
refinishing work they dij& , on the office - filing cabinets ; Carried.;

Dryden for the fiscal year begin-
ning January 1, 1951 has been com-
pleted and filed in the office of
• the Town Clerk at Dryden where
it is available for inspection by
any interested persons at all rea-
sonable hours. '
FURTHER NOTICE is hereby
given that the Town Board of the
Town of Dryden will meet and re-
. view said Preliminary Budget and
hold a Public Hearing thereon at
the Town Clerk's Office, Dryden,
N. Y., between the hours of 7 : 30
p.m., and 8 : 30 p.m., and that at
such hearing any person may be
heard in favor or against the Pre-
liminary Budget as- compiled, or
for or against any item' - or items
therein . contained.
Pursuant to Sec. 113 of the Town
Law, the proposed Salaries of
