The Regular Monthly meeting otrthe Town Board of the Town:
of Dryden was held at the Town Clerks office on Sept' ; 3 , 1947 at
8 : 30 P . M. . .
Present were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , Hwy ; Sup ' t
Stacy Beach and Justices Harry Spaulding , Orrie Cornelius ,
Alvord Baker , Millard Hoagland and Ara Johnson,.
Supervisor Downey presiding .
Minutes of the Aug : 4th: meeting were read for information
A Delegation of Seven men from McLean , N . Y . came before
the Board to explain the tenative plans they have made for their
. Fire Company and to discuss with the Board the possibility of
a contract with the Town of Dryden sometime in the future;
Rev . Vernon A. Martin was present and gave a . report on the
duties of an Attendance Supervisor;
Justice Hoagland nominated Rev . V . A . Martin as Attendance
Supervisor for the Four School. Districts of the Town of Dryden;
for the coming year beginning Sept; 1st . 1947 , seconded by Justic
Johnson . Carried and so ordered;
A motion was made by Justice Cornelius and seconded by
Justice Baker that the General bills totaling 4 196: 65 be paid
as Audited . Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes,
A motion was made by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice
, Baker that the Highway bills totaling $ 2098 ; 02 be paid as
audited Carried by a roll call vote . All Justices voting Yes;:
A motion was made by Justice Hoagland and seconded by
Justice Baker that the Town Board of the Town of Dryden go on
record as favoring the Chest X- ray. Service to be given Local
Business people of Dryen on Sept; 4th . and that any Town
Officer or employee of the Town may avail themselves of this
opportunity . Carried and so ordered ;
A motion was made by Justice Johnson and seconded by Justice
Cornelius that the Town Board meeting shall be called at 8 : 00 P . rfi. .
Carried and so ordered;

SEPTEMBER 22 , I947
Town of Dryden- Board of Health
Meeting brought to order at 7 : 30 P . M .
Purpose of meeting was to act on the resignation of
Dr, D. M . Ryan;
It was moved by Mayor Morrell Redmore and seconded by
Mayor Donald Mellberg of Freeville that the resignation
be accepted , effective as of October I , 1947 ,
Dr , William C . Spring Jr . will act as Health Officer
for the Town for the remainder of the time the Health
District remains in effect ,
The Board was notified that Abdallah Dairy and Bill
Bros . Dairy both o • Cortland , N . Y . would have a hearing in the
near future .
There was andiscussioniof the abolishment of the
Consolidated Health District .
A meeting will be called when full details are obtained
as to the course to be followed , .
Minutes approved as read ,
Meeting adjourned at 8 : I0 P . M .
