HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-10-03 169 OCTOBER 3 , 1946 , The regular Monthly Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Dryden was held on October 3 , 1946 at 8 : 00 P .M . at the Town Clerks Office ; Present were Supervisor Charles G . Downey , Hwy . Supt . Stacey Beach and Justices C . Harry Spaulding , Orrte Cornelius . , Alvord Baker , Millard Hoagland and An Johnson; Supervisor .Charles Downey pre - . siding; Mrs Clara Helfer , Mr Henry Reed andhRichard Reynolds were present to discuss the conditions of the Stevenson Road and to plan ways and means of ' completing the repair of said Road . 1 A Resignation from Louie Fortner as Checker of : Elections was read . 1 A motion was made by Justice Baker and Seconded by Justice Spaulding that this resignation be accepted : Carried and so ordered . A motion was made by Justice Hoagland. and seconded . by Justice Johnson that James W . Cole be appointed Checker of Elections to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of Louie Fortner . Carriedcby . a Roll Call Vote . All Justices voting - -Yes ; A motion was made by Justice Cornelius and seconded by Justice Baker that the Welfare Report be accepted as read . A motion was made by Justice Cornelius and seconded by Justice Hoagland that the Highway Bills totaling $ 134I . 93 be accepted as read ; . Carried by a Roll Call Vote , All Justices voting - 'Yes'; In as much as Abigal Stone an Inspector of Elections in District NO . 2 has moved from the State „ a vacancy is declared in that offs A motion was made by Justice Baker and seconded by Justice Cornelius that Mona H . Spaulding be appointed to fill the. vacancy of Abigal Stone as Inspector of Elections in . Dist # 2 . Carried and so ordered . A motion was made by Justice Hoagland and seconded by Justice Cornelius that the Following Resolutiortbe adopted: Carried and so ordered . RESOLVED - - - That t this TOWN BOARD : does hereby prepare and approve the Preliminary Budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning the Ist ; day of January 1947 , the itemized statement of. estimated Expenditures and Revenues hereto attached and a part of _ this ✓ esolution and be it RESOLVED= _- - that the Preliminary Budget shall be filed. in the o ffice ' of the Town Clerk where it shall be available for inspe_e - tion by any interested persons at all reasonable hours and be it FURTHER RESOLVED - - - - that the „ Town Board shall meet: at 8 : 00 P .
