The Regular Meeting of the Town Board . of the Town . of Dryden
was held at the Town Clerk ' s Office on_ March 2 , at 8 . : 00 P . M . .
Present were Supervisor -Charles Downey , Hwgy . . Sup ' t . -Stacy Beach , .
Justices Spaulding , Cornelius :, Baker , :. Hoagland and Johnson .
Supervisor Downey Presiding .
The minutes of the Regular Meeting held on Feb . 2 were read for
information. • .
The Real Estate Broker ' s << Appraisal of= that protion of the Olmstead:;
Property to be sold to the Village of Dryden_ was read. . This '
transaction was declared correctj1/2o o . o o
Supervisor Downey announced there would beta meeting for the .
Assessor ' s : at Ithaca , N . Y . . on March I8th . . begining at 10 : 00
in regarda to the handling of Dog Claitnsc. . A Representive from the
Department of ' Agriculture and ' Markets at Albany , N . Y . will be
present also : Charles Newman and Donald Stobbs will be speakers.. .
Supervisor Downey urged all Assessors to attend .

Justice Johnson-. made a motion- that a motion made by Justice Jeheen
and: seconded b y ' JusticeJohson in. regards to the discontinuing of
State Aid - be recinded. Roll Call Vote - - - - Justices Spaulding ,
Cornelius , _ Baker and Johnsomvoting Yes - - Hoagland voting No .
The Welfare and General Statements were read. . A ' motion was made by.
Justice Spaulding and seconded by Justice . Baker that these statements
be accepted as read<: . Carried by Roll Call Vote . . A11 Justices -voting .
ThecHighway Statement , totaling $ 6o7-. 0I was read . A rnopioni was made
by Justice Hoagland and seconded by Justice Johnson that this . statemeNta
be accepted as read . Carried by a Roll Call Vote - - - -All Justices
voting Yes . .
A letter was read from the Secretary of _ the Student Council... of the
Dryden.. School , Barbara Johnson, : thanking the Town . . for the use_ of •
the Town trucks during the Vict &ry,° Clothing Drive . .
Amotion was made by Justice Hoagland and seconded by Justice Cornelius
that the present Fire Wardens , . namely Foster English, . Lloy_d Hart ., and
Burch Hammond :, , be reappointed for the period of a year . Carried and
so ordered: .
Supervisor Downey , Justice Johnsom and the TownTiClerk gave a report
on. their trip to AlbanyN . Y . .
Supervisor. Downey read a statement especially preparedfob the Town
of Dryden= showing the increase in revenue the Town would receive
under the Moore Plan. and ; explained how it would benefit the Town. .

Justices Spaulding and Baker reported on their Committees . .
Justice Johnson explained.: to the Members of the Board: the plans::
the. Village of Freeville have made in regard to the purchasing of
Fire Fighting Equipment and asked the opinion of ,Ile prd as to
the inclusion of ' Freeville Fire Co . . into the Fire)CDis riot .
Justice Spaulding suggested that the Members of the: Town . Bbard:
meeVwith the respective Boards of the Villages of : Dryden, and Freeville
- any- the Neptune Hose Co . and the Freeville Fire Ca. for a discussion. •
