The town board meet at the office of the town clerk for regular meeting , all
Justices , welfare officer , & Supt of Highways present , Pupv . as chairmah .
• The minutes of last meeting read and were approved . A letter from M . M . Young
was read asking for improvement on road by his place . A delegation. was also pre
sent in respect to this road including the mail man Collier . A motion was mad
by Bker to inspect this road at the annuall road tour and to give it special
consideration , seconded by Beck and carried by a roll call vote
A letter from A . J . Hines was read asking the removal of old papers and a s
safe stored in his barn , also presented a bill of fi00 . 00 for storage of
same since 1938 . The clerk was instructed to write to Sect . of state and make
inquiries regarding the disposal of old papeEa . .r: All ` : aonT7hl. y - bills ' : read'._and a
motion was made by Baker to pay same as read except the 'Hines bill which ho wou
. like to make some inquiries about before paying same , seconded by Cornelius and
carried by a roll call vote all . yes .
A motion was made by Beck to make . the annuall road inspection tour on Apri
I4 th , seconded by Cor- nclius and carried , to meet at Spauldings at Etna , Clerk
was ask to get in touch with County Supt . to see if he could attend this meet
ing on that date . .
The Supt ask the board about theepurchase of a new truck stating the pric
of a new dodge 0685 . 00 and a used international at $ 695 . 00 No action taken .
Supt ask also if he ws to have a new grader or hire one to carry on his work no
action takeb;

It was suggested and agreed that the town clerk arder criminal form and m
marriage certificates for the justices and keep a small amount at the clerks
office , for justices use . Upon motion meeting adjourned .

The town board wtith county Supt , meet and made the annuall spring inspe
ction tourof the roads in the township , after which a meeting was held at the
7:entice of the town clerk . All justices were present Supv . presiding• .
. : It was - deeded not to build no new roades this year ; but to oil and care
for roade which have been graveled , and do general repairs .
A motion was made by Spaulding to start oiling at trott'ing :. parkcorner
(rEtna , to Races corner2* miles and to continue with the following programe as
money becomes available from the county seconded by Cornelius and carried by a
r3o11 call vote all yes .

A motion was made by Baker to remove the Banks and brush on the Youngs
. road and to gravel bad places_ seconded by Beck and carried by a roll call vote .
A motion was made by B ck to use the balance $ 6711 . 89 on general repair
and primrary work , seconded by Baker and carried by rail call vote
A letter from Veda Snyder was read , asking for improvement on the road
by Rantocus . , each ask that the board do something about a grader , " motion was
made by Cornelius to purchase a grader of Clapp machinery Co . for 11650 , 00 and
• the old grader , to pay $ 650 . 00 from machinery fund the balance of I000 . 00 with
one certificate of indebtedness payable March . 15 Ig43 , seconded by Munsey and
carried by a roll call vote all yes . Mr Clapp ° Three to take the certificate
at %03 .

indebtedness at 03 % seconded by COrne ius and carried by a roll call vote , all
yes but Beck who voted no . Sweetland also tAking . a vote of no . -
The clerk read a delayed bill from Fletcher for printing _ the Supv.i report
Amt . $ 36 . 00j, It was voted to pay . this a s read . The Clerk also real letter in
reply to her inquiry regarding the disposal of town papers , stored in Hines barn
no ction was taken , Upon motionmeeting was adjourned;.

Highway bill read and a motion was made by • Cornelius secondedcby Beck to
pay as read , carried by scroll call vote . A petition was read asking for improv -
ement on bone plane road . .
. Cornelius reported that he had been requested. by Mr , Watkins , that the
town furnish Calceum Cholridd to apply om the monkey run road to lay the dust
this • season . A motion was made by Cornelius to treat this road the same as a yea
ago seconded by Munsey and carried by - a roll call vote . Mr Munsey reported that
he had learned through the County that no tar would be available after May 9/
All general bills read and motion was made b Beck seconded by 'faker to
pay as read , carried by a roll call vote .
. Mrs Nicely Welfare officer. ask ' if the board considered her appointment
was - t* continue • for a year . Beck replied that the motion as made by him last c
was intended tobe for one year . NIcely ask to be sent to a school for welfa
o fficers which is being held at Geneva for 4 days soon , A motion was ' made b
seconded. by Spaulding that she attend this school , carried by a roll ca lvote . .
. A discussion followed regarding tt :f:e:,;:reguiationw of the sale of town wood
and a letter was read from Atty Newmantto county welfare officer VanMarter in -
connection with this case .
A motion was made by Cornelius that the town pay I of welfare 0fficerss
car liabiliaty insurance on a I0 - 20 policy , after the refund is deducted as
long as she is welfare officer , with the understanding that it should be invese
tegated to see if a lower rate could be obtained , - secorideCOpy Baker and carried
' by a roll call vote all- yes but Back who voted no . . .
It was agreed to hold the mid Mo . meeting on April I8 and if agreeable
w ith the Hines to meet at their barn at 7 P . M . and go over the papers stored th=
e re , after which a meeting will be held at the office , of the town clerk of ice .
Upon motion meeting adjourn. •
