Dewey Whitford state in his bills who authorized him to check Traffic .
A motion was made by Baker to pay. all bills as read , saconded by Spauldig

A motion was made by Spaulding. that the welfare officer be empowered
to take the Carpenter mortgage up with Thayler , to dispose of mortgage , and
. reimburst the town for expense - in carpenter case . . seconded by u ornelius and
carried by a roll call voteall yes . . '

Beck•; seconded by Baker . No other nominations , Beck , moved nominations be
closed. seconded by . Cornelius and carried by roll call vote .
A motion wass. made by Beck to appoint A . J . Hines as attendance officer , ,
seconded by Baker and carried by a roll call vote . all y.es .
The case of Claude Morris was discussed and as Lewis Tbayler , is the
attorney for the Cit1, of Ithaca he- _-, would not be able to represent the Town
in this case , A motion was made -by. ~ paulding to hire Myer Warp to take this
case-, Seconded by Cornelius and carried by . a roll call vote , all yes but
Beck who voted no . upon motion meeting; adiourned. - .

All justices , welfare officer and supt of - highways present . Supv . Sweetland:
being unable to attend Martin Beck was named as chairman , of the Meeting .
The minutes of the last meeting were read and . approved . Mrss Niaelyv
Reported on the Lewis case and also stated that noyhing _-had _ been done on . the
Carpenter or Morris cases , . . , , , - - • • . . . . . ._ . .
A motion easy lade by Ba.ketthat ..Roy , Burigerf. ord . and .Howard . Welch be
appointed as custodians of. voting machines , seconded by Munsey and carried
by a roll call vote all yes , .
A motion was bade by Spaulding that A? G . Blackman be named as checker of
votes to replace Victor Fulkerson Who is chairman of the election board ,
therefore could not serve in that capacity , se conded ' by Cornelivas and carrie
by a roll call vote .. - all yes .
A motion was made by Minsey that Will Cole be appointed as the aepublica .
representive as checker . . seconded by Spaulding;, and carried by a roll call vote .
Spaulding spoke of the grading. of _ the Free ville Rail Road crossings ,as
per Wiliam Strong 's suggestion and the oard al2 expressed their opinion that
it should be done if the Highway Supt , could spare the . machinery yhis fall .
Beach thought it could be done and would try to make the arrengemente .
Supt . Beach brought in his 'report cards on operating costs and they were

of month meeting , all justices welfare offi cer and Supt of Highways present ..
The minutese: of the last meeting read and approved. Mr , Heibel was . present
and ask for improvement on the road. where his property is located, on Hunt •
• Hill. Supt of highways stated that he was having the brush cut , clearing it
back from the Hi!hhway , and making some improvements; but there was no money
available t o make farther improvements this yeae. • . •
The welfare' bills and statement were, read as follows; -
