March 3 , 1939 .
The Town Board met at the office of the Town Clerk for the regular
monthly meeting with all Justices and Supt . Beach and Welfare officer i
Kinch present . Supv . ' Sweetland presiding .
' The minutes of : the lash meeting read . and approved . Welfare statement
read and approved and motion made by Ackerman and seconded by Spaulding that
the Welfare bilis be paid as read . Carried . A bill from for Taxi
driveing read and discussed , motion made by Ackerman and seconded by Beck
that Mr . Sweetland look: iin to the matter of paying same , Carried .
Mr . Kennedy and Mr . Morse of the State Dept . were present and discussed
further purchases of Sub . Marginal lands in the Town of Dryden , asking that
the Board make a dicision .
Mr . Tarr and Mr . Southworth representing the School Board were present
asking the Town Board to call a special Election for the purpose of takeing
up the Gospel Fund . The Board decided to give some thought to these
propositions and if necessarny to call a special meeting . fRay ' Liddington
and Dr . McKinney present in the interest of . the Fire Dept . Supv . Sweetland
and Ray Liddington to take up the matter as of the last regular meeting .
Balance of monthly bills read and motion made and seconded that they
be paid as read . Bids were read for the purchase of the - Town ' s Gasolene
and decided - to have purchaseing Committee take up this matter .

The town board meet at the office of the town clerk , in a special sessior
w ith all justices present Supv "'weetland presiding .
The purchasing committee reported they had contracted withtthe ttiantic
refineing Co . for White flash gasoline , for one year for 2 above tank ear
price , thiers being the lowest bid summitted . A motion was made by ' j' aker sedonc
by Spaulding , this contract be accepted Carried .

The Town board meet at the officeof the town clerk on March4in a special
session . The minutes of the last meeting were read for approval, Spaulding
stated that there be a correction made , stated that he d)d not seconds,
motion made. by Baker , to accept the gasoline contract , and requested it be
changed on the minutes .
A petition was presented and read from Tax payers asking for improvement on
the road leading from Willeys corner in Freeville , to the Ithaca Cortland
highway , either by W . r . A . or others &ae .
A motion was made by Beck , seconded by Ackerman the W P A . road building
Project be continued this seasion . Roll call vote as follower .
Ackerman Yes . Spaulding not voting , Baker yes , Beck yes , Cornelius
yes . Carried . - -
A bill for insurance on trucks from grange insurance Co read and motion
made by Beck seconded by Cornelius to pay bill - as read Carried .
Upon motion made and seconded meeting was adjourned ,
