Introductions for guests 2. Nfeeting Minutes: 1/4/06. Moved Tracy, 2nd Ross, Approved unanimous, Rec. Coord, Monthly Report: Jennifer distributed and reviewed her monthly report: - Next band showcase tentatively set for 3P24106. Jennifer checked into the report of someone posting a notice on MySpace.com as the cont;ict for scheduling band showcases in Dryden. Jennifer spoke with Elie Dryden fire dept. events coordinator who is well aware that this person is acting on their own and is not affiliated in any way with the Town of Dryden programming. At this time there are no contracts that have been submitted for these evcnis to take place. In the event these cvents; are booked, Steve asked Jennifer to contact the Dryden Police Dept. to advise them that these are not affiliated with tlae Town of Dryden Recreation Dept. - Youth Wrestling invitational Event - Sunday, 2/12106 - Dryden MS /HS - approx. 8:30am -31)m - WILL BE GRATEFUL FOR HELP. Ellis Hollow Wintcrfeast - Jennifer is helping Signage: Jennifer is working with Town Code Enforcernent Officer, Henry Slater. Henry will contact the NYS Dept. of Tourism for their assistance with our signage for parks, forests, cC other recreation areas. - Montgorery Park Upgrades /Repairs - Village just hired a new supervisor. He will review Jen's info. and get back in touch with her. - Montgomery Park blacktop resurface - Jun spoke with Town Highway Supt. Jack Bush. Jack said tht; tovwm would be willing to partner with the Village (rc: supplies, equipment, manpower) if the Village was interested. - Skate Park: 'Town attorney, Mahlon Perkins will be drafting a letter to the Ackley's stating that the Town will create a skate park fund and collect donations. in prep. for the DRC nitg. with the Village at their April Board meeting, Jcn has investigated areas of concerns 0,c., location, supervision, liability, cost). Jennifer will contact the Village asking to be placed on their April agenda for 1) SUCC Assessment Survey Report & 2) Skate Park. 2005 Rec. Dept. Year End Report. - Jennifer distributed and reviewed the 2005 Recreation Dept. annual report. 3. Kim Schenck mentioned that the Dairy Day Committee is investigating an upgrade to the ,Montgomery Park sound system. 4. SUCC Student Recreation Survev Retort: Sharon distributed and reviewed the report. Still a few items to complete. Sorne minor changes & goads suggestions were made. 5. 2006 DRC Mernhership Vacancy: Jen /Steve reported that Christine Becroff . Director of the Ellis Hollow Community Center is interested. She plans to attend our >4lareh meeting. - Lawrence Hinkle agreed to be an alternate school rep. if both Ralph Boetter & Larry attend the same meeting, they understand that they have only one vote. 6. DRC Brochure: Ross distributed the 3rd drat't based on changes suggested at the January meeting, A few more revisions were suggested. The 41h draft will be reviewed at the March meeting. Ross also updated the 2002 Programs & Facilities brochure. He will send this ape elcetronicnlly to Jennifer who will incorporate into the document she is working on. 7. Establish 2006 DRC Annual Goals - Tracy asked that everyone review the 2005 Goals and submit their suggested 2006 Goals to Tracy via email by Monday, 2/27106.
