Recreation Commission could be helpful to people who wished to stark new Recreation
Groups such as Lacrosse and Field Hockey, Neil has contacted Alice regarding help in
putting together a grant. Alice had talked to Steve Stellick about this. Bob suggested
that if there's an interest there should be the possibility that it should be looked at, i.e.,

sport because it would be less affected by rainout in the Spring.
There was further discussion that the Recreation Commission should support as many
programs as people are interested in, whatever gets people active.

Program. Has funded lots of programs around Ithaca building trailst etc. The
Each award is small, just a couple thousand dollars, but it's very good seed money to
get something started. Neil Belcher might be a goad contact for that. Steward
volunteered to get further information on the program. Mike asked about the possibility
of inviting a representative from the Faculty Fellows in Service Program. To talk to the
Recreation Commission. Steward volunteered to Iook into that possibility. He believed
that the awards are made twice yearly.
