able to attend the meeting this month.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
TOWN OF VIRGIL PLANNING BOARD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town of Virgil
Planning Board on 27 July 2020, 7 p.m., at the Town Hall, 1176 Church Street, in the Town of
Virgil, New York to consider an application for an Area Variance for property located at 870
Sherman Road and 854 Sherman Road 105.00-08-07.000 & 105.00-08-06.000, Lyn Thompson,
Property Owner. The variance request is to subdivide and do a lot line adjustment to allow for an
addition. The lot size, side setback and road frontage of the proposed addition would not meet
the current requirements of the Virgil Zoning Law. The property owner currently owns both
parcels.
The Planning Board will also consider an Area Variance for property located at 2075
Woodchuck Hill rd., Tax Map #127.00-02-23.110, Scott M. Smith, Property Owner. The property
owner is looking to subdivide and sell three acres with the less than required road frontage as
required by the Virgil Zoning Law. He owns a total of 400’ feet of road frontage and he wishes to
sell the land with 250’ of road frontage.
The Planning Board will also consider a proposed minor Subdivision for property located
at 2272 US Highway Rte. 11, Marathon NY., Tax Map #128.00-01-05.000, Douglas Marose and
Breyanna Doolitte, Property Owners. The property owners are looking to subdivide an existing
86.93-acre lot into two parcels one being 80.89 acres and on being 6.04 acres.

person, by attorney, or other representative. Communications in writing in relation thereto
may be filed ahead of time with the Board or at such hearing.
