TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The regular meeting of the Danby Town Board was called to order at 8:00 PM
at the Danby Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town of Danby, Tompkins County
New York, December 29, 1986. The pledge of allegiance was led by Supervisor
Burdick.
Board members present: Clmn, Ric Dietrich
Clmn. Dorothy Roberts
Clmn. Edward Shay
Supervisor Dori Burdick

�\ Others present: Joel Gagnon, Judd Leonard, Pamela Clermont, Wait and Carol
Sczepanski, Don Graham.
y Clmn. Dietrich requested the town board schedule a public hearing sometime in
February for the new proposed Junk Law. It is tg - scheduled for February
9, prior to the town board meeting.
Don Graham requested that the town board direct the planning board as to what
they would like them to do with the present zoning ordinance; ie, go ahead with
revisions or leave it as is, propo law was

could add insight with such committees and Board of Zoning Appeals, Highway, etc.
Supervisor Burdick said the board will meet with the planning board at their
meeting on January 28 to .'er.
In the meantime, Supervisor Burdick moved to authorize the planning board to
work on revising the present zoning in such areas as Administration, Board of
Zoning Appeals, Agriculture and Mobile Homes, seconded by Clmn., Roberts, carried
unanimously.
Supervisor Burdick also suggested that as the planning board revises a section
they should present it immediately to the town, board for action.
Supervisor Burdick reported the Tompkins County Solid Waste Management Committee,
chaired by Frank Proto will meet with all residents in town to discuss the Landfill
Siting issue on January 22, 1987, 7:30 PM in the former Danby Elementary School
gymnasium.

WARRANTS:
Clmn. Dietrich moved to approve payment of the Ceneral Fund Warrant ..'113 in
the amount of $4128.35, seconded by Clmn. Roberts, carried unanimously.
Clmn. Shay moved to approve payment of the Highway Fund Warrant 1113 in the
amount of $15,159.30, seconded by Supervisor Burdick, carried unanimously.
Clmn. Roberts moved to approve payment: of the West Danby Water District
Warrant #13 in the amount. of $503.67, seconded by Supervisor Burdick, carried
unanimously.
The following appointments were put, before the board for approval, all terms
to expire December 31, 1986:
Zoning Officer - Judd Leonard
Building Inspector - Edward Hughes
Town Attorney - Pamela Clermont
Dog Warden - Lorraine Bard
Clmn. Dietrich moved to approve appointment of the above positions for one year,
seconded by Clmn. Roberts, carried unanimously.
At 9:10 PPf, Councilman Roberts moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Supervisor
Burdick, carried unanimously.
