There was agreement that the junk law needed a supercede clause. Again the need for good maps of the flood hazard areas.was pointed out, but this time the difficulty of enforcement was pointed out, since the tax map boundaries did not appear on the flood hazard boundary maps. Someone pointed out that section 809 of the current zoning ordinance specifically regulates construction in flood hazard areas and had been Inserted in order to secure National Flood insurance availability for the residents of the Town. Thus a new law might not even be necessary. Carol agreed to contact Paula Cammarata to see if the current section of the ordinance satisfied the eligibility requirements for the avail- ability of the insurance.
