HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-11-16Minutes Town of Danby Planning Board November 16, 1983 Members Present: Donald Graham, Walt Sczepanski, Joel Gagnon, Ric Dietrie, -Jim- Hovanec, Carol Benjamin. Meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. Privilege of the Floor: Ric felt that the Planning Board was slighted by the Town Board at the last Town Board meeting,11/14/83. August 17 minutes were read and approved as ammended. September 21 minutes were read and approved as amended. October 19 minutes were read and approved as corrected. Donald Graham gave a report on the Ligu,?ri reported that meetings are on the State Fire 4& Buildirfg Code being studied.on the old county ho Reps has decided not to use the ai An Ithaca site is being looked int County Planning Board meeting. (1) Frank being held concerning fee schedules inspections. (2) There are four offers spital building. (3) The County Board of rport area property for the County Jail.. o. Donald also reported on the Nov.14 Town -Board meeting. '(1) John Benjamin presented a petition to the ToWn•Board to upgrade the Highway Supervisors wages. Many people present agreed with the petition. The Town Board decided to pass the budget as proposed, without an addition wage increase. (2) Roger Hile requested that notice be given to Town of Danby residents that any cars parked.on any roads that are town maintained, will be tick- eted and towed if they are on the sides of said roads during snow storms. (3) Donald mentioned to the Town .Board-that the•Planning Board is upset about lack of action on the Town Boards part to work on past issues. Mrs. Miller said that she feels the Planning Board does not understand the term "Land Use% She suggested that we ask Gary Evans to come and explain to us and any Town Board member that can make it exactly what "Land Use" means. After this the Town Board and Planning Board may be able to get together and make .some decisions. Ric Dietric felt that this was a very evasive answer, and is rather in- sulted to be treated as a grammer school student, instead of the respon- sible adults.that we are. Donald will ask Gary Evans to attend our Dec.. 21 meeting. Meeting adjourned at 10:20 p.m. Next meeting Dec. 21, 1983 8:00 p.m. Danby Town Hall
