tions take place.

surface' subdivision [d] of this section).

75.2 Standards prescribed by Commissioner of Transportation for approval of pri-
vately owned airports. (a) Primary surfaces, approach zones and lateral transition
zones shall be clear of all public -owned buildings (see Exhibit C for fixed -wing aircraft
and Exhibit D for rotary -wing aircraft and balloons [Appendix A -6, infra]).
(b) For airports used by fixed -wing aircraft, the primary, approach and lateral
transition surfaces for each runway shall be established in accordance with the dimen-
sions shown on Exhibits A and C; respectively (Appendix A -6, infra).
(c) For airports used solely by helicopters or balloons, the primary, approach and
lateral transition surfaces shall be established iri accordance with the dimensions shown
on Exhibits B and D, respectively (Appendix A -6, infra).
(d) Primary, approach and lateral transitional surfaces shall maintain the following
clearances: 17 feet above interstate highways; 15 feet above all other highways; 28 feet
above railroads, and above the highest object which normally traverses waterways.
(e) Favorable airspace determination from the Federal Aviation Administration
must be issued and a copy submitted to the commissioner.
(f) The commissioner may waive any or all of these requirements if his investigation
of all factors discloses that the establishment or alteration of a particular airport does
not conflict with or affect the safety of public buildings or facilities, or operations on
public highways or waterways, and that the volume, character and direction of traffic at
such airport will not constitute a menace to the safety of operations at other airports in
the vicinity.

(b) One USGS topographical map (scale 1:24,000) and one plan view map (scale 1:1,000)
with the position of the airport indicated thereon. The airport runway(s), helipad or
seaplane operational area must be plotted thereon accurately. The direction and length
of runways and seaplane operational areas must be included on the map. Helipads must
be precisely located with the approach /departure paths clearly indicated. The map must
be sufficiently large so as to include all approach and lateral transition zones to the
airport.
(c) One copy of the favorable airspace determination issued by the Federal Aviation
Administration for the proposed airport establishment or improvement.

Minutes of April Minutes were approved with correct
"tow- behind grader ". With no further corrections,
Dorothy Roberts made the motion to accept the April
and seconded by Councilman Ted Merritt.

Donald Wright reported West Danby has enough flags for Memorial Day.
Close to privilege of floor:
Supervisor Miller reported she visited Soil Conservation office and
discovered town could never drain the land owned by George Awad,
Mr4 Awad has indicated he would like a purchase offer from town for
10 -15 acres of land. Due to Oupervisor's findings, the board has
agreed to drop the idea of purchasing the Awad property at any
further date.

Supervisor Miller reported Eva Musgrave is planning a meeting at
the Town Hall May 10, 1983 at 7;00 PM. She would like all adults
and teenagers who are interested in youth activities to attend
this meeting.
Supervisor Miller pointed out a flag has been purchased and has
been hung above the door at the front of the Town Hall,
Supervisor Miller reported she is looking into medical insurance
for the highway department. The present coverage rates have in�
creased considerably. She felt the insurance company represen-
tatives should speak.with the highway men about their insurance
programs.
Committee Reports;
Highway: Superintendent Hile reported men have been cutting
shoulders of roads, dragging dirt roads, cutting brush and in-
stalling driveway pipes. He reported something needs to be done
with the kids playing around the highway barns. Someone threw
a rock at the plexiglass of the dozer. He has suggested an
announcement be put in the Danby Area News. He is planning to
put up "no- trespassing" signs. Mr. Hile also mentioned he is
out of crushed gravel. County has a crusher that town could
borrow to make their own crushed gravel. It would cost $4,250,
for rent of crusher for two weeks. General discussion followed
and the board agreed instead of renting the crusher it.would be
cheaper to purchase the gravel at Landstrom's.
Zoning: Frank Haskins reported he has issued seven building
permits. He will be sending out letters to violators within the
week. Supervisor Miller requested he bring in all building per-
mit fees to the town clerk.
Senior Citizens: Supervisor Miller reported the Senior Citizens
will be going on a trip to Boston in Tune.

Supervisor Miller reported the complacz nints received by Mr. &
Mrs. Anthony Chester regarding Lindy's bar have been discussed
and the town board felt the Chester's co is a civil matter
and they will need to take their concer the Sheriff's depart-
ment.
Roy Casterline reported he has to take his water samples for the
water district to Waverly for sampling. The town will now have
to pay for the samplings.
General Fund Warrant #5 in the amount of $831.36 was approved to
be paid. Motion made by Councilperson Mary Oltz and seconded by
Councilperson Sylvia Hiney and carried by a vote of five ayes
and no noes.
Highway (Chips Program) Warrant #5 in the amount of $1155.16 was
approved to be paid. Motion made by Supervisor Miller and sec-
onded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts and carried by a vote of
five ayes and no noes.
Highway Warrant #5 in the amount of $3,359.28 was approved to
be paid. Motion made by Councilman Ted Merritt and seconded by
Supervisor Miller and carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes.
West Danby Water District Warrant #5 in the amount of $113.80
was approved to be paid. Motion made by Councilperson Mary Oltz
and seconded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts and carried by a
vote of five ayes and no noes.
Councilperson Dorothy Roberts made the motion to accept the
Supervisor's reports as presented and seconded by Councilman
Ted Merritt and carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes.
Councilperson Mary Oltz made the motion to adjourn the meeting
at 9:25 PM and seconded by Councilperson Dorothy Roberts and
carried by a vote of five ayes and no noes.
