PUBLIC HEARING ON PRELIMINARY BUDGET
OCTOBER 25, 1982
The Town Board of the Town of Danby held a public hearing on the
Preliminary Budget for 1983. The hearing was held at the Danby
Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road on October 25, 198 at 7:30 P.M. Not-
ice of public hearing having been advertised in the Ithaca Journal
in the October 20th issue. The purpose of the hearing is to hear
all interested persons in favor or against the budget.
Board Members present: Councilperson Mary Oltz, Councilman Ted
• Merritt, Councilperson Dorothy Roberts, Councilperson Sylvia Hiney,
Supervisor Mildred Miller.
Others present: Joel Gagnon, Ed Slights, Herb Engman, Roy Horn -
brook, Charlene Testut.
The meeting was called to order at 7 :50 P.M. and the clerk read
the notice of public hearing as advertised in the Ithaca Journal.
Herb Engman questioned what the highway improvement program was
for on Page 1. Supervisor Miller commented the money used is for
repair of highway machinery.
Supervisor Miller reported the tax rate is down .18¢ per thousand
from last year's tax rate. The assessed town valuation of 100.7.
